Where is the starter relay on a bmw 530i

The starter relay sits in a relay panel above the glove compartment. You have to remove the glove box and drop it down. The relay panel looks like a white storage tray, and it has 4 relays in it - a tall black one in the back, and three short white ones in front. The starter relay is the short white one furthest to the left.

Climate control stopped operating (climate control panel won't come on at all) 2001 BMW 530i

It must be obvious that the system has either a shorted wire or some component in the system, it is a tough job to track down these shorts in a system, that goes 2X for German monsters. I suggest you have a professional look at this or join a BMW forum and ask if other owners have had this issue, I have never seen this problem on a BMW until this one you posted

Oil leak in 2001 bmw 530i , middle towards front? About a quart a month ?

Look for the location where the gasket is leaking. Get someone to remove it and replace it. This is affordable if you buy a new gasket at a local auto store and get someone to do it. The real problem here is that your leak is so significant that you need to be constantly checking and adding oil or you will ruin your entire engine.

Where should I start looking for oil leaks on my bmw2001 530 I?

If there is no obvious leak, The most logical place to start would be at the lowest points of the engine, so start at the bottom, the oil pan. oil pan lug, oil filter, and work your way up. It may or necessarily be a leak, you could be burning it.

Just bought a 1995 bmw 530i 5speed 136,000 miles

Try changing the oil (probably due) and then cleaning the area of the filter and the plug and also clean the plug off as well sometimes people carelessly change oil and don't clean it and, leave something on the surface and the filter or plug does not seal and then leaks. Place a flattened box underneath after and see if and where it is leaking. If all else fails try bars stop leak

Code P0604 and P0444 came on in my wife's bmw 530i

P0444, Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open". I believe this (small) valve is located underneath the intake manifold behind the oil filter housing. Since there are other codes that indicate leaks in the evap system, you might have to replace the PCV, P0604 could be the coolant level, or a stuck thermostat, top up the coolant, or replace thermostat would be advisable. hope tis helps
