Low fluid will not cause it to do that, If it pops out of gear you got a (Serios) Problem i hate to tell you, End on a (BMW) count on paying $2500 end up to have it (Rebuilt) Thats what you get for buying a (Over) price toy.

No idea but you could have damaged the gearbox so please ask a local mechanic to have alook for you

Does it crank and not fire , if no crank check battery jump start , if no fire check for spark fuel and injection

P0302 - misfire on #2 cylinder . Could be a bad spark plug , spark plug wire , or a bad ingintion coil , a bad fuel injector etc.... There are videos on youtube that could help you sort this out .

Check the air outlet temperatures at the vents. If they are very low, your cabin air filter might be plugged/dirty. Has any work been done on the compressor lately? dirt in the system can cause the expansion valve to malfunction.

check battery voltage disconnect battery and reconnect battery check oil level

check your cruise / speed limiter control check battery voltage check crankshaft position sensor

check ground wire

your car is dieseling running on fuel in cylinders igniting carbon in combustion chambers a good run down motorway could cure it

Hi Steve. It is an inline 6 cylinder designated as the M54 2.5liter.

There was more than one engine available for that car. You will need a copy of the original registration document. You could also look for the engine code on the engine block. But the paperwork (V5 in the UK, Pink slip in the USA), is the easiest way to do it.

when a battery is completely drained, it shortens the life or could kill it all together. Time for a new one. Doesn't need to be coded.
