The transmission computer has found an error. You are going to need a scan tool to be able to retrieve trouble codes. Go to a professional.

Hi either the battery is u/s..or it needs reprogramming, i would do both anyway, just change battery in the key, then ( if you google how to re-program a 325i key) there is a sequence you do to program it to your car and it is relativley easy as i have done it to my 325i hope this helps.

The same thing you have done your entire driving career I would assume-- go to a repair shop You use the fuel grade the owners manual calls for Ever do any Preventative Maintenance,or just drive till it acts up!

You put NO Additives, in any part, of any vehicle IF your were back in the 17 or 1800's, you could buy something from a gypsy, I guess & loose your money for no real reason

code po444 is referencing a purge control problem. this could be a bad connection or a problem with the purge solenoid for the evaporative system(EVAP). this is controlled by the PCM to allow fuel vapours to be drawn into the engine and burnt from the gas tank under certain conditions. the p0174 is a lean running condition on bank 2 and p0171 is a lean running condition on bank 1. the lean running conditions could be O2 sensors, lean condition caused by bad fuel pressure, dirty injectors, bad MAF sensor, vacuum leak.

Did you use a code reader? The camshaft sensor when bad will also not allow the car to start.

the fuse box is located lower dash drivers side thendoor/lid will have list of fuses on the inside

It's either spark plugs/wires, coil pack, bad gas (need high octane) or a timing issue. Check each starting with plugs/wires, then coil pack then check timing (especially if you've had it "tuned")

HI, There is usually a supplement manual w/the maintenance info. Check on BMW's website or call the dealer...but the dealer may NOT be 100% accurate - I'd trust the manual over the dealer. Also, BMW online forums may have this info posted. GL, TD
