I have a 98 jeep
It sounds like you may be experiencing the "famous" Jeep Wobble. It usually is noticed between 55-60mph and appears all of a sudden as if from out of nowhere. If your wheels are not bent, your tires are balanced, inflated per the placard on the door and are not out of round, you might want to check/replace the steering damper - its a shock absorber mounted on your front suspension. Get a good/heavy duty one and that should help. One more thing - once this damper is replaced, if your other front end components are faulty, their weaknesses will become evident with the addition of the damper, so be sure to replace any other components, including front shocks as well if needed. I wish you much luck and many happy miles of driving your Jeep.
Coil keeps burning up
I think you might need a coil that has a built-in resistor, the coil you have been using uses an external resistor. ask at the parts store for a resistance type coil. should be the fix 4 ya or it might be a wiring problem standard coil uses the full 12v and after it starts it cuts the voltage down in the run mode. usually done at the starter's solenoid, so if you changed the starter recently it could be wired wrong.
let me know what you find

Try this: Clean all of the dirt out of your vacuum cleaner and connect the hose to the discharge side of the vacuum.
Close everything windows etc on the vehicle but leave one window open enough to put the pressure producing hose through then using wide removable masking tape seal up the rest of the window opening. Turn the vacuum on and inspect all of suspected leak areas of the vehicle.
Anyplace there is a leak you will feel air escaping.
