Hello, please check all fuses first, if ok under hood I believe on pass front junction box locate the (IOD) fuse which will be labeled (IOD) on box cover and in owners manual fuse location and amp size. It may be a different color than all the other fuses. Pull the (IOD) fuse out and wait for a few minutes and reinstall. Try starting vehicle. Also when alternator problem addressed make sure main 40 to 80 amp max fuse is not blown out. Just to be on safe side recheck battery ground and other ground wires that may have been disturbed during repair. To check glow plugs if all else fails right rear top of engine is coolant temp sensor, disconnect sensor, this will cause ECU to think its cold and energize glow plugs, and allowing glow plug light to be illuminated.
