I would look for a problem with the headlamp switch. Also it could be in the multipurpose switch which is part of the turn signal switch I have seen both problems. You will need a test light that will light when you probe 12 volt wire. Follow the 12 volts from the fuse box, some trucks fuse the headlamps, so make sure they are all aright. Follow it to the head lamp switch to make sure it has current and if it does, probe the wires that are connected to the multipurpose switch. Make sure that the headlamps have a good ground and that they are both not bad.

The OSS or Output Shaft Speed Sensor is located in the top of the tail shaft housing of the transmission just before the driveshaft, it is an 8mm bolt that holds it in, very tight place to be but can be change fairly easy.

Burnt out bolb or bad ground either to the socket or in the socket.

air flow from and air conditioner is dependent on the condition of the heater blower fan so check that the blower fan is operating at all fan speed settings next if you live or use the vehicle in dusty conditions , the dust will build up on the evaporator fins ( condensate water and dust = mud and gunk) and blocked evaporator fins ( this will result in reduced ac operation as well the dust is not always from out side air through a cabin filter ( may be blocked) but from dirt that is introduced into the cab from dirt on the foot wear

run fault codes and check for accelerator position sensor-. Check MAF/MAP/VAF sensors as well.

THERE IS A TAG EITHER ON THE DRIVERS DOOR OR THE DOOR PILLAR THAT WILL SAY WHAT THE RATING IS IF THERE NOT THERE CALL YOUR FORD DEALER PARTS DEPARTMENT AND GIVE THEM THE VIN # AND THEY CAN TELL YOU WHAT IT IS

I have the same problem in my 1994 Ford f350. I replaced the ABS sensor, but it is still shifting hard and the overdrive light still flashes until I shut the truck off. Any ideas?

Check your fuses first

Hi,If your battery does not recharge, then it is your alternator. Check to make sure that all your dashboard fuses are ok.Hope this helps. Please rate my response.Randy

You replaced the O2 sensor and the other codes popped up ?I would clear the codes and see how many return. Often times the problem is not the sensor but rather something in the engine performance.

The Code P0460 means you are running Rich. This is being picked up by the O2 sensors.What happens is an air leak in the intake side of the engine(any seam) of the engine is measured and this added airflow makes the top part of the engine lean. Automatically the sensors start dumping more gas to maintain fuel ratio. Because of this , the exhaust gas spikes from the excess fuel.You need to find the air leak. Sometimes using a spray bottle of water around seams and Vacuum lines and solenoids will change the idle RPM. The running engine will draw in the water and react.If this does not work, check the fuel pressure at the test tap. Some tools can be borrowed from Autozone,Advance, or Oreilys. If you have high pressure, this could be the result of the lean reading or a defective fuel pressure regulator.I hope my solution helps. At this point, we Experts can not see what other Experts have recommended. So there is a good chance some of this has already been suggested.

With a long pair of needle nose pliers, look where the hood lock is and try to grab the cable that normally opens hood. If you can get to pliers or another tool attached to where that cable connects pull it in the direction of the cable and this should unlock the hood. You might have to lay under the bumper to get at it, or you might be able to go through the front grill.

sounds like the fan bearing is is going out and it is wore you might have to replace the fan it self warm weather it goes cold it gets stiff no lube

( 2 ) When going up hill with the 5th. wheel, after a period of time, I hear a screaching sound in the turbo. Parts were replaced in the turbo & 2 new fuel injectors. Still have the same problem.
