BMW X3 3.0 1 & 6 are miss firing. Compression on 1 is 90PSI 2 is 120PSI 3 is180 4 is 167 SI 5 is 182 6 is 140

The compression is all over the place , Do the following To find the problem . remove all spark plugs , hold the throttle open while testing , compression test all cylinders one at a time and note the compression make sure the battery is fully charged , that is called a dry test, now do a wet test , add a teaspoon of oil to the cylinder you are testing and compression test, note pressure against dry test, if the pressure is unchanged the valves need attention ,if the pressure rises the piston rings are worn or stuck .

Where is the fuel tank vent valve located on a BMW X5 e70?

In most cars, the EVAP vent valve is located underneath the vehicle, close to or at the charcoal canister near the fuel tank. For that reason, it often fails due to corrosion. The most common problem with the vent valve is when it sticks open or fails.

My 2002 bmw 745li is over heating every time i drive it dnt kno wat the problem is nd wen this happened the stereo went out any suggestions on the fix...plze help

For the radio I would suggest checking the fuse For the overheating the most common reason is the thermostat in the cooling system. They wear out over time and sometimes get stuck in the closed position. The next time it does it park the vehicle somewhere safe, Turn OFF the engine and open the bonnet. **Be careful with this next suggestion as you will be touching something VERY HOT.** Look for the large black hose going into the top of the radiator. CAREFULLY touch ONLY the hose. If the thermostat is working it should be VERY hot! If it is only slightly warm get the thermostat changed.

I have a 2006 BMW 5 Series 530i 4d sedan, how can we adjust the idle speedrpm

Your engine is controlled by the PCM. The idle can be adjusted by entering the computer system using INPA with a K+DCan cable, or the BMW diagnostic system. If by chance it's too high, look for a vacuum leak. Generally speaking if you are careful, you can use a can of carb cleaner (carefully) by spraying a small amount at a time near the vacuum hoses and the intake manifold of a vehicle to find the leak. As the carb cleaner is drawn into the engine the car will change idle speed to help you zero in on any leaks. Too low then there must be a fuel/air issue and you should have a code present. Good luck:)

My 2009 bmw 328i with 74.000 have the code p1774,

Why would you change the crankshaft position sensor on a code for the brakes/transmission? P1774 code description Low Coast Brake Solenoid Valve is turned "ON" or "OFF" by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the Park & Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), and Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor (Throttle Position Sensor). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when the Low Coast Brake Solenoid Valve does not respond from the TCM signal.
