Subaru liberty 2012 boot won't look, could it be a fuse and how can I replace it please

If the boot of your 2012 Subaru Liberty is not locking, it could be due to a blown fuse. Here are the steps to check and replace the fuse:
  1. Locate the fuse box in your vehicle. The fuse box is usually located on the driver's side of the vehicle, under the dashboard.
  2. Open the fuse box and locate the fuse for the boot lock. The location and labeling of the fuse may vary depending on your vehicle model and year. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the specific fuse location and labeling.
  3. Check the fuse to see if it is blown. A blown fuse will have a broken wire inside or the fuse element will appear melted. If the fuse is intact, it may not be the cause of the problem.
  4. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage rating. You can find replacement fuses at most auto parts stores.
  5. Test the boot lock to see if it is working properly. If it still doesn't lock, there may be a different issue that requires further diagnosis by a mechanic.
Note: Always replace fuses with the same amperage rating as the original fuse. Using a fuse with a different rating can cause damage to the electrical system or create a fire hazard.

Trying to put a Clarion PF3494 into a 2001 Subaru Outback, but can't find ISO adapter for connectors on PF3494

It sounds like you are trying to install a Clarion PF3494 head unit into a 2001 Subaru Outback and you have run into compatibility issues. The Aerpro APP8CLA4 adapter you bought does not seem to fit your head unit. In this situation, you have a few options:
  1. Look for a custom installation kit: Some car audio retailers offer custom installation kits specifically designed for your make and model of car. You may be able to find a kit that includes the necessary wiring harness and adapter for the Clarion PF3494.
  2. Check the Clarion website: Clarion may have information on their website about the wiring harness and adapter required for your specific head unit and vehicle.
  3. Contact a professional installer: A professional car audio installer may be able to help you find the correct wiring harness and adapter for your head unit and vehicle, or they may be able to custom build the necessary wiring for you.
I recommend contacting a professional installer if you do not feel confident wiring the plugs yourself, as incorrect wiring can cause damage to your head unit and vehicle. If you can provide the specific information about the pins and connections of the Clarion PF3494, I may be able to assist you further.

How do I get the left rear door panel off a Subaru Forester 2003?

To remove the left rear door panel on a 2003 Subaru Forester, you will need to follow these steps: 1. Remove any screws or clips securing the door panel to the door frame. These may be located around the edges of the panel or in the handle area. 2. Carefully pry the door panel away from the door frame using a flat tool such as a trim panel tool or a flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the panel or the door frame. 3. Once the panel is loosened, lift it up and away from the door to remove it. You may need to wiggle the panel slightly to release it from the door. 4. Disconnect any electrical connectors or wiring harnesses that are attached to the door panel. These may include the power window and lock switches, the door handle release cable, and the speaker wire. 5. Set the door panel aside in a safe place. It is important to be gentle when removing the door panel to avoid damaging it or the door frame. If you are unsure how to remove the panel or are having difficulty, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a professional mechanic.

'87 Subaru GL Turbo Wagon 4wd with push button switch on shifter. The 4wd will not engage when button is pushed in.

are you diving on ICE or snow or offroad.? is this the first time ever to use 4wd and not read the users guide when not to use 4wd? the last 87 Subaru running, sure 4wd has many meanings, AWD, or part-time or Full-time or a mix. most old cars are just part time, like ww2 jeeps are and were then. and they do not all work the same way. 1987 specs are cars is not easy to find. the users guide warns of using 4wd in turns, steering fights you. so that tells me it is part-time 4wd, not for pavement. Not real AWD. the 4wd shift mech, is vacuum servo operated and I say all that is bad 35 years old , vacuum parts cracked diaphragms. some have sol called full time rear axle with clutch skip device option. buy the old paper, shop manual 1987 for your car, but are rare. no PDF books in 1987 zero the 4th kind of 4wd, is what I call "quasi full-time 4wd", with no center differential at a,ll but has center slip clutch aka a viscous coupling but is real nasty thing on ICE. , it slips in turns. big time! (don;'t do it) and can go bad easy.(runs hot and fails) ;if worked before today , not 10 years ago but worked say in the last year, the vacuum parts or the switch is bad or the transfer case is dry or bad forks/rails seized , or there transfer case bad. shorter answer, shift devices bad (vacuum servos) or bad transfer case, (ran it dry?) to shift to 4wd, try it on dirt, or ice, then shift it at lowest possible crawl speed. 1mph or less, we say a dead crawl.

I have a 1994 Subaru loyal. It will not blow hot air. Nothing seems to be leaking. What could be the problem.

Hi, you would need to check your heater core for damage and also check the level of coolant that your car has. If the coolant is low, you can fill it up because part of a typical heater core's job is the past the heat from hot coolant into the driving cabin where you remain warm ( when everything is working properly). You cna check the heater core issue with the assistance of a rep from Autozone. Their free diagnosis might be able to help you pinpoint the detailed cause of the heating issue. Thank you.

What is the firing order on a 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i

The firing order for the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i is 1-3-2-4. This means that the spark plugs will fire in the following sequence: first cylinder, third cylinder, second cylinder, and fourth cylinder. The firing order of an engine refers to the sequence in which the spark plugs ignite the fuel in the cylinders. The firing order is determined by the engine's design and is important for ensuring that the engine runs smoothly and efficiently. In a 4-cylinder engine like the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i, the cylinders are typically numbered from left to right, starting at the front of the engine. The firing order for a 4-cylinder engine is typically 1-3-2-4 or 1-2-3-4, with the spark plugs firing in a sequence that alternates between the left and right sides of the engine.

How do you remove the 2nd row seats in a 2006 Subaru Tribeca?

First you need to find out if the bottom seat pad is a push fit or a bolt fix. To do this you simply look at the panel below the seat pad where you heels would touch. A push fit seat pad is held in with two or three plastic pegs so there will be no bolts on that panel. These seats simply pull straight up on the front edge (the edge behind your knees) to 'Pop' the pegs free. *Note* They can be a tight fit so they might let go quite suddenly. A bolt fix seat will have a bolt or a screw holding a loop of metal to the carpeted section of the floor panel at each end of the seat. They will sometimes have a small plastic trim cap covering each one. These will pop off with a flat blade screwdriver as a lever. I think they are 12mm size bolts. The seat pad should then lift at the front edge, twist and slide out of the vehicle. If you need to remove the back rest pad it is usually held in place by 3 or 4 bolts across the lowest edge of the seat pad, also 12mm. If it has a centre arm rest fitted drop it to the down position as well as the 'Peep Hole panel giving access to the trunk. The top edge of the seat pad is held on by hooks. The seat pad should swing out at the bottom and slide up and off the hooks so you can lift it out of the vehicle. Refitting is just as easy just *Remember* to lift the seat belt fittings back into position before you bolt everything back down.
