2010 mini cooper- it you get on the gas hard- 1/2 power engine lite comes on

Sounds like either a fuel filter or fuel pump issue. The" fuel management system" is located IN the tank. So good luck and find a good service mechanic. Have fun, -J

What does evap emission control system leak code 442" problems mean

This means a small leak. Check the gascap. But otherwise you need a "smoke" test which is absolutely the only way to diagnose short of replacing every line in the system. You will need to call around for this special service.

Car doesn't seem to shift right

A check on the fuel filter will confirm this as it will be seen, if so remove and clean tank and change the filter. We then come to the fuel pump/carburetor as the fuel mixing and pressure is determined in this section. You need to have the pump calibrated if the pressure at the injector is low.

Then we must check with the electrics. The spark intensity is most important .Remove all plugs to check gap and condition of plugs. The black plug indication will confirm that the performance is bad whereas a fully fired plug without deposits must be the ideal view. Check the HT coil and the HT wires, if the intensity is bad this must be swapped and checked to confirm. check the electronic ignition unit. The voltage of the trigger must be high to give the best HT output.

Now also check the Timing on the engine.

My daughter's 2010 mini cooper

It sounds like the latch has failed. Since the car is still under warranty it isn't worth trying to fix it yourself. I would take it back to the dealer and let them fix it for free.

Swapped seats but heat not working - f56 mini cooper s

Are the connectors actually wired the same? Check the wiring diagrams for each seat if you can find them, otherwise trace the wiring from the internal components in the seat to the connector and make sure the heaters are going to heater power pins in the original harness, and temperature sensors are going to temperature sensor pins (temperature sensors may be polarized, that is, it makes a difference which pin goes to positive and which to ground).

Why does the yellow engine light come on and go off with times? I am driving a Mini Cooper S, 2010 Model

To be sure you need to hook up a scanner and read the code when you see the light on. It's not unusual for Mini's to do this for a couple of usual reasons. One is due to the Oxygen sensor getting a short term reading that is out of the norm causing the light to come on. Various things can cause this including Injectors, mechanical condition, o-rings, even fuel changes from one station to another can trigger this on cars. It goes off later because it's a temporary issue and the car adjusts itself after so many starts. One other reason is the fuel cap not being tightened properly, that usually is fixed when you refuel and retighten the cap properly or just tighten the cap.

2003 Mini Cooper S Electrical issues

Check all fuses. Inspect all the wiring you can see. If a mouse chewed them up, maybe it could cause this?If that doesn't fix it, sounds like you have a defect in the circuit board in the Instrument panel display.
