Broken yoke can this be

You could have a new yoke welded on. Then you would have to have the driveline balanced. It would probably be just as cost effective to purchase a new one.

Need instructions on replacing drivers

  • 1. Place masking tape on the inside edges of the door, on both the inside and outside of the door. 2. Remove the door spring by using a door spring removal tool. Insert the tool into the door spring, turn the knob with a screwdriver to compress the spring, then pull out the tool. 3. Set a 5-gallon bucket under the door. This will help support the weight of the door. 4.Place a nail punch under the hinge pin, and strike it with a hammer. Repeat this until the hinge pin begins to come out of the hinge. 5.Place the end of a flat-head screwdriver under the top of the hinge pin, then strike the screwdriver with the hammer to force the hinge pin out of the hinge. 6. Place the bushing on top of the new door hinge pin, and tap it into place with the hammer. 7. Insert the new hinge pin into the hinge. Tap on the hinge pin with the hammer and nail punch to force the pin into the hinge. 8. Insert the hinge spring back into the door, and release the tension on the spring removal tool. 9. Spray the door hinge with a lubricating spray or apply grease.

I know there are a few directions but it is fairly easy to do. If you have access to an air hammer and a compressor you can use this in place of a manual hammer to make the process a bit easier.

    Hope this helps.

    2006 GMC 2500 Sierra, tekonsha

    Hello Rod.

There is a accelerometer inside the Tekonsha. When braking motion is sensed within the unit it should apply the brakes.
Try it on the road. Make sure the level is set correctly and adjust the gain according to the weight of the trailer and it's load.
The green light indicates continuity through the brake system magnets.
It should go to red as you say under heavy braking.
These are a nice little unit, my favorite in most circumstances.
Consult the booklet on it for adjustments, they are important for proper setup.

If you need further advise please ask me here in a comment.
    Thank you for using FixYA.

    Starts then stalls

this could be a a host of different factors. first thing I would look at is has the vehicle sat for awhile without being run? if so you may have lost the octane in your gas and need to add some octane booster to your gas or spray starting fluid in you intake till you can get the car to hold idle.
Next i would look at fuel pump.Make sure its working properly.
Good luck and hope this helps.

    CAN A MECHANICAL WATER PUMP

Yes it can be, I have seen broken and rusted off blades on the propeller causing coolant circulation to be limited. The only way to check is to remove and inspect the water pump.
