can it be the silinoted ???? Solenoid is the correct spelling . Your best bet , have it towed to a qualified repair shop . This is a computer problem , not the solenoid . The padlock light lit , anti-theft system problem , more then likely . Guessing is not the way to fix this . Hooking up a factory or some other professional type scan tool an checking code's in the anti-theft module an the ECM - engine control module . Your 10 min. key off an wait 2 min won't work on your vehicle . You need a factory scan tool to do a reset
10-Minute Immobilizer Relearn
This 10-minute relearn procedure will relearn the prerelease password and the challenge/response data between the theft deterrent module (TDM) and the engine control module (ECM).
Connect a scan tool to the vehicle in the pass-thru arrangement.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Ensure that all power consuming devices are turned OFF on the vehicle.
On the Techline Terminal, select Service Programming System and follow the Techline Terminal on-screen instructions, using the Pass-Thru method. Ensure the correct programming selection is chosen based on component being replaced or programmed. For this procedure, go to the V.T.D. Vehicle Theft Deterrent Learn menu and choose the Vehicle Theft Deterrent Learn, ECM, or PK3 Replaced selection.
At this point the scan tool must remain connected for the duration of the 10-minute relearn procedure.
Important:
• The scan tool will initially display 12 Minutes. The first 2 minutes allow the scan tool to initialize the appropriate control module. The remaining 10 minutes is the relearn timer.
• On some vehicles the security indicator may be illuminated for the duration of the 10-minute relearn procedure.
Observe the scan tool, after approximately 10 minutes the scan tool will display "Programming Successful, Turn OFF Ignition". The vehicle is now ready to relearn the key information and/or the passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.
Turn OFF the ignition and wait 2 minutes.
With a master vehicle key, turn the ignition to the RUN position for 15 seconds, then start the vehicle. The TDM and ECM have now relearned the pre-release password and the challenge/response data.
With a scan tool, clear any DTCs.



Circuit Description (Key Start)
When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position, a discrete 12-volt signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. The ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the ECM then supplies 12 volts to the control circuit of the crank relay. When this occurs, battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the crank relay to the S terminal of the starter solenoid.

The easiest way to check to see if this is all correct ,is by hooking up a scan tool an viewing data parameters .
The immobilizer system functions are provided by the theft deterrent module (TDM) and the engine control module (ECM). When an ignition key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition is switched ON, the transponder embedded in the head of the key is energized by the exciter coil surrounding the ignition lock cylinder. This exciter coil is part of the TDM. The energized transponder transmits a signal that contains its unique value, which is received by the TDM. The TDM then compares this value to a value stored in memory. If the values match, the TDM will send the prerelease password via the serial data circuit to the ECM. If the transponders unique value is incorrect, the TDM will send the fuel disable password to the ECM.
When the ECM receives the TDM prerelease password, the ECM will challenge the password. The ECM sends this challenge back to the TDM via the serial data circuit. Both the ECM and TDM perform a calculation on this challenge. If the calculated response from the TDM equals the calculation performed by the ECM, the ECM will allow vehicle starting.
The components of the theft system are as follows:
• TDM
• ECM
• Ignition key (Transponder)
• Security indicator

Your best bet , i say again , is have a professional technician sort it out . Or you'll waste your money buying parts your don't need .

Use a good scan tool to check for a reading from the key,you may have to reset the key to the vehicle or replace the key reader or associated parts,the scan tool should identify the problem with the system.

Pretty sure i know what the issue is i have had it happen.. Its the security system failing it really common i GM vehicles i guess. I took mine in and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money to fix it so i did a ton of research and found a module that you can install yourself i did mine 5 years ago and i havent had a problem since. check it out they have great customer service and if for some reason it does not work out they will refund you 100% hope this helps ya

Deanna, check to see if your A/C is in the on position, this could cause fan to run a lot. If this is not the case, take truck in for diagnoses at a good shop, could be a faulty heat/fan sensor or sticking relay. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

There is no fuse for Cruise Control , power is supplied by the BCM !
The body control module (BCM) monitors the signal circuit of the cruise control switches. The BCM relays the cruise control switch status to the engine control module (ECM) via the GMLAN serial data circuit. The ECM uses the status of the cruise control switch to determine when to capture and maintain the vehicle speed. The ECM monitors the vehicle speed signal circuit in order to determine the desired vehicle speed. The ECM uses the throttle actuator control (TAC) motor in order to maintain the vehicle speed. For further information on the TAC System, refer to Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Descriptionfor the 4.3L engine or Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Description for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L or 7.0L engines.
Voltage is supplied to the cruise control switch via the steering wheel control switch reference voltage circuit supplied by the BCM. The cruise control function switches are arranged in a resistive ladder design, with each cruise control function switch having a different resistance value. The BCM detects a specific voltage value that is associated with the cruise control function switch being activated. When the normally open cruise control on/off switch is turned ON, the switch closes and the BCM supplies a ground to the cruise control switch ON indicator circuit as it becomes illuminated. The BCM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the ECM indicating that the on/off switch is active. Similarly, when the normally open + RES switch or the normally open - SET switch are pressed, the switch closes and the BCM detects the predetermined voltage signal on the cruise control set/coast and resume/accel switch signal circuit. The BCM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the ECM indicating that the + RES switch or the - SET switch is active. To engage the Cruise Control System, ensure that the vehicle speed is above 40.2 km/h (25 mph), turn the cruise On/Off switch ON and momentarily press the - SET switch. The ECM will engage the Cruise Control System and record the vehicle speed. The ECM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the driver information center (DIC) in order to illuminate the CRUISE SET TO ### message. The ECM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) in order to illuminate the Cruise Engaged indicator in the IPC.
If you don't know this I suggest you take your vehicle to the dealer or a ASE certified repair shop .

Go under the truck and remove the electric shift control and manually shift back to high gear. You will need to replace that bad shift control module.

A misfire code is either plugs or injectors but if you are getting detonation (pinging sound ) then it may be faulty injectors letting in fuel ( incorrect amount of fuel) and at the wrong time . Detonation occurs from incorrect air/ fuel ratio and ignition timing and is spontaneous unplanned combustion . It occurs as the piston starts to compress the mixture and the fire occurs before the piston is near the top of the strake and so the piston is slapped hard against the cylinder wall. If left unattended it has the capability of melting holes in the top of the pistons

DID YOU CHECK THE MASTER SWITCH. IT TAKES 2 ONE TO HOLD THE TEST LIGHT THE OTHER TO FLICK THE SWITCH UP AND DOWN GO THROUGH THE PLUG UNTILL YOU FIND THE POWER. . IF THERE IS NO POWER AT THE PLUG IT MAY BE THE MASTER SWITCH. THE OTHER THING YOU CAN DO IS PULL THE MOTOR AND BENCH TEST IT USING JUMPER CABLES AND A BATTERY. WHEN USING THE TEST LIGHT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD GROUND. HOPE THIS HELPS

Your motor is probably bad. You can take door panel apart and gain access to the motor. Check wires; the wires both at the motor and the wires running through the door to the truck body. More likely the motor is bad.

that is because you activated the child proof lock so that the kids cannot open the door from the inside .Find a way to move the latch and then the problem will be solved

Sounds like some fuses need to be replaced. Also the sensors on these newer vehicles go come on for no reason. Try to have the sensors replaced or reset.
