NGK plug is TR55 series. .052 is the gap

with a voltmeter check for battery voltage at cable and bulb holder and a good earth there must be battery voltage , if ok check bulb , if ok check there is a good earth between lamp housing an car body.

I have a 2011 Ford Transit Connect, my daily driver. Today I drove and parked. I went to drive again and could not get the vehicle out of PARK. I called a tow truck in and the driver showed me the problem. There is a black cover near the gearshift lever that is similar in size and shape to a dime. It can be removed with a small screwdriver. Once removed, there is a white switch revealed. When you push down on the switch while pulling back on the gearshift lever, you will be able to shift out of PARK.

Hopefully they are not controlled,or given the signal, by the PCM (or ECM)? Some cars must get their signal from the computer......it's an inane,over-engineered system,I know. don-ohio (:^)

If your check engine light is on and your vehicle is newer than a 1996 you can take it to knechts auto parts and have them check the codes with a code reader its most likely a sensor like the mass air flow(MAP) sensor or throttle possision sensor(TPS) or it could be a pluged exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR) but to know for sure you have to read the codes!

Hello, the steering wheel can 'lock-up' in certain positions if it's internal mechanism is ''against the stop'' ie;limit of travel.try turning the wheel back & forth while pushing the key IN while turning key switch .If you get it 'ON',drive to a locksmith/key shop & have a new key made.IT IS THE 'POINT' OF THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE WHEEL;As the key wears out,it can't' REACH' THE unlock pin. best O' luck

Usually the problem is inside the wiper motor. If you can see any contact points or can spray a little WD40 on what you see, it may help. Sometimes backing off the mounting screws and retightening them will allow the grounds to be reestablished.

The throttle cable could be disconnected under the hood, the cable that connects to the throttle body or carburetor. The part where the air cleaner is attached or goes too.

Disarm the Steering wheel SRS Airbag module by disconnecting the battery negative for 5 minutes, the remove the module bolts at rate of steering wheel with thin walled deep 8mm 1/4" drive socket. Next pull the airbag off the wheel and careful unlatch the connector lock and set the Airbag aside, then remove the lock ring and then the steering wheel nut on the steering sector shaft threaded end, you will now need a steering wheel puller to remove the pressed on wheel from the shaft. You can buy a puller from most parts stores for about $10.00

I will recommend you check on these 3 items

1) Transmission fluid level. Make sure it's FULL
If the transmission has over 60,000 miles then you will need a transmission filter and fluid change.

2) Have a co-work to check for the REVERSE lights while you shift the gear level from PARK TO REVERSE TO DRIVE.
If the reverse light does not come on while the lever is at REVERSE then the neutral safety (a.k.a. GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH) is defective.
This switch is mounted directly on the transmission.

3) Check the physical link and connector from the neutral safety switch. Check the mounting bolts on the switch and look for abnormal wear on the center hole on the switch,

titen the cables at batt posts and maybe at the starter motor--cud be corrosion also--the starter may be a lemon--ask dealer or go online for any service bullitins

2011 is still under warranty- take to a ford dealer for free fix

No compression, engine spins easily when trying to start.. Timing chain / belt is broken, or slipped a lot, which generally amounts to the same thing.

There is air in the coolant system. check the resevoir and fill as needed

It appears to be a known issue.

Well every car made does this if driven long and far enough. they ALL DO, and is not dreaded, it is expected, belts, hose,fluids ,brakes, battery,,tires , alt and starter. (short lives) fail. most never ever last the life of whole car. ever. if you change that trend lets get rich> no? *a 500k mile ALT" no no no, 12vdc is noT charging ever, 13-15vdc is charging and 99% of DIY never read the service manual step 1. remove NEG battery lug first or BOOM , or blow up the HUGE ALTERNATOR FUSE. also some cars the PCM is the regulator and can fail too and some have 3 fuse for the ALT, 1huge 2 small. we test them all first skipping not one. ive no clue what is a Transit? a FORD VAN? a MK5 VAN?
