Heating problems

Check for air in the cooling system - tighten carefully all hoses especially ones by expansion tank. If motor on cool down sucks in air instead of water an air bubble could restrict the flow of coolant into the heater core.

2010 Doge Nitro blows air towards windsheild not matter witch position the selector is in. Took it to the dealer and they said the Heater Housing and Control Head needed to be replaced. Suggestions

This seems to be a problem with the actuator for the mode door in the heater housing. It shouldn't require replacement of the heater housing, but may require a lot of work to get to the heater housing (possibly removal) to replace the actuator. If you want air to be directed to the floor or the dash vents, you will have to have the actuator repaired/replaced.

How do i replace airbag control module on 2010 dodge nitro

Remove the center console. It is under it. Better make sure that is the problem though. Could be wiring. Lots of things to check before replacing any part of it. This is the most common reason cars are totaled, Air bags. Even if they weren't deployed.

How do i fix a stuck blend door on 2010 dodge nitro?

I would pull off the blend door actuator and swap it out with a new one. Or another option is to swap it out with one of the other actuators. The blend door actuator is interchangeable with the actuators for the mode-air doors and the recirculation-air door. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped, remove the silencer from below the driver side of the instrument panel. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blend door actuator located on the driver side of the air distribution housing. Remove the two screws that secure the blend door actuator to the actuator mounting bracket and remove the actuator

My heater quit working how do I check the fuse

Do you mean the fan or no heat?. Do you have a temp gauge on the dash and does it look normal? It could be a stick open thermostat.

Hearter temp control was blowing too hot, now only blows cold

Clicking sound you hear is the worn brushes in your blower motor. At this point the blower moter may or may not start with the switch. THe blower motor is faulty so I would change that first, then check for vacuum leaks or faulty selector cable for the heat blend door. It could have came off door side or heater control side.

Blower hums but does not blow

A proper diagnostic determining what codes have populated through the internal on board computer may help assist the efficiency of a technician in repairing the blower issue. With it being a 2010, it may be under factory warranty. Call your local Dodge dealer, and inquire as to your remaining warranty. Then describe your issue with one of their service advisor's. There may be a re-call bulletin or they may know of a pre-existing issue/solution. If it is out of warranty, ask them what their diagnostic fee is (probably an hour at shop rate); then compare that with an online search as to a local (well referenced) domestic repair shop quote to diagnose.

What does this code mean p0455

Code 455 is a problem with the EVAP system - a large leak was detected. The computer vents the gas tank to the vapor canister when the engine is running. It pressure tests the gas tank before and after venting. It could be a faulty gas cap, or you could have started the vehicle with the cap off, or you could have a leaking hose or gasket. The emission system may still be under factory warranty.

2010 Dodge Nitro AC Fuse for fan location

First, it would be nice to know WHICH fan you are talking about. The engine cooling fan? The heater-A/C blower fan?Second, this might be the time to educate you about fuses. Fuses do not cause electrical failures, Electrical failures cause blown fuses. With that being said, it is highly unlikely that if you find the fuse you are looking for, that it will solve your problem.
