1990 Cadillac DeVille was running fine then all of a sudden, nothing like it was getting no fuel like
RUNNING FINE WHEN ?(bad fuel?) parked for 5 years.?
ALL CARS RAN FINE BEFORE, WELL NOT A YUGO.
most 90s cars are not on the road now, seeing one is a KODAK moment 2022, 32 years later. none here. for sure.
you posted engine problems and none told, nor VIN.
never have I seen any 90s car not needing like 10 major problems.
all ignored for years.(PAR)!!!
gee, a tune up ,spark parts/
all filters, air/ fuel
check fuel pressure? USING A REAL GAUGE ;.
OR IS TRANSMISSION STUCK IN 1ST GEAR. IDK.
rpm GOES WAY HIGH BUT MPH DOES NOT, BAD TRANS DAY/

I think your problem is most likely going to be battery corrosion on the positive battery cable. Take the positive cable off and look at the side that connects to the battery- if that has a bunch of white stuff on it, mix up some baking soda and water use a tooth brush to clean the terminal off and rinse with water. Then spray with electronic connection cleaner and apply some dielectric grease to the connection before you put it back together. I have had to cut the rubber part of those cables in order to really get in there and clean things up- sometimes there will be a bunch of corrosion around the little 8mm lug that you tighten at the end of the cable.
2006 Cadillac SRX with the V8 Northstar engine. Wont crank wont start.
the starter motor is dead, silient, ?????
cranks in Neutral but not PARK>?
key on, and the IMMO lamp not angry (immobizer)?key failing?
Will not crank
or cranks
fast but will not start, and run or stay running or only runs for 3 seconds (IMMO loves to to the 3 sec,. jive)
be more clear on the stater electric motor.
the starter actual can be hotwired easy if dead, (it)
jump big lug on starter to tiny lug.
- key off in pocket.
- in park
- wheels chocked
- .Pull small term. wire off first is wise. seen below
- jump big to small like this, (using even an old screw driver to jump)
- starter works and cranks but engine does not run is normal here.
I have a 1995 Cadillac Deville. How do I change the fuel reading from liters to gallons
ask FORD yet?
is car made in USA or Canada (VIN codes tell the easy0
or bought in Canada and moved here. again VIN./
we can not guess any of that but asking FORD, is a BINGO
ask the dealer yet?
that is an old car and parts like that super hard top find.
the users guide. cover it? lost it?
is this hard painted words on he cluster.
did not say where you saw Liter?
the USA manual for the car has not one word about liter (save engine displacement) so it never had it.
but I do not have the CANADA manuals here in USA< no need ever.
my wild guess is this gauges reads wrong.
this is out of the USA cars users guide here.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/860128/Cadillac-1995-Sedan-Deville.html?page=155&term=gallon&selected=1#manual
to change that I bet the PCM or cluster or both need to be reprogrammed or found in USA and installed, but doing so the PCM will not work as that is deemed ODOMETER hacking. illegalll
but only FORD/CAD can answer this in depth.
due to laws USA restricting these changes.
The code read fuel tank pressure sensor also read auxiliary coolant pump in my 2008 cadillac cts
no DTC code told by you at all, we can not guess 100s of codes.
take the car back to the CHAIN shop, man.
tell him to fix it.
or learn to use a scan tool and report all DTCs.
he may have left connectors OFF or loose or damaged them.
let him look first for his errors. so he learns to do better.
overheating any engine can wreck it, even warp heads.
do not let that happen or let it cool down ,pronto and get it service faster. look for loose belts. or missing belts he did wrong.
coolant aux P2600 error or 260x
must never be ignored this error, .
and can be a fuse blown only.....!!!!
quote
The ECM commands the auxiliary cooling fan ON when the engine coolant temperature exceeds approximately 108°C (226°F).
and
The auxiliary coolant pump and cooling fan system provides a measure of prevention against fuel vaporization due to excessive engine temperatures. The engine control module (ECM) commands the auxiliary or after boil coolant pump ON when the engine coolant temperature exceeds a calibrated value after engine shut down. The ECM applies ground to the coil side of the auxiliary pump relay. This energizes the coil and applies voltage directly to the pump motor through the switch side of the relay. When the auxiliary coolant pump is activated, coolant is drawn from radiator and pumped into the engine through a tee in the engine coolant inlet pipe. As the colder temperature coolant is drawn into the engine warmer coolant is expelled from the engine and back to the radiator. Removing high temperature coolant from the engine after shut down helps prevent vaporization of the fuel that remains in the fuel injectors and fuel rail during a hot soak.
