2011 Cadillac CTS - Page 9 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a 2003 cts
Hi,
That's a blowback/EGR hose. Excess gas from the compression in the piston goes back in the crankcase and passes into the valve train/cover and the gas by means of EGR valve was sucked again by the intake manifold.
That is why there is oil in the hose, excessive oil means a blocked EGR valve. Either clean the or replace it with new one.
Hope that explains everything.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

2006 cadillac says " service
check out this link. It will help you understand the system. There is a section on this link called "quick fix". It describes a 10 minute trick. Perform this trick 3 times in a row without trying to start the car in between. Turning the key back to the off position after each ten minute cycle. This is a complete passkey reset. After the 3 rd time, turn back the key and then turn it forward and try to start it. The whole process will take around a half hour. If this doesn't work, you'll need to take it to a dealer. Good luck.

Where is the turn signal
Most flasher are incorporated into the hazard switch. Check to see if you have the hazard lights. If not replace this and you will get your turn signals back.

You shouldn't have anything to worry about. A loose gas cap will throw a check engine code in most newer vehicles. As long as you tightened it up, you are fine. The light sjould go off on it's own before your next refill, but if it doesn't take your car to an Advance or Autozone and they will clear the code for you for free. There is no danger in driving your car with the light on for this trouble code. Have a great day.

No fob detected
Hello: Open the glove box, there should be a small slot where the key fob will fit. Insert the fob there, if the car starts then you need to replace the battery in the key fob.

Hi, I'm having problems with
My dads Ford 250 had the same issue as well, the problem it might be suffering may come from the EGR valve or sensors at the throttle body. The sensor there at the throttle body is called an Idler Control Module, which controls the idle at which you'r is at when driving and at a stop. Many times carbon can build up inside and cause it to malfunction. If you can locate it then removing it and cleaning it is somthing you may want to try. As for the egr valve well, that should be replaced at a certain mileage of the vehicles life, so you may want to replace that as well.
Hope this Helps!

2003 cts stabilization
Hi, this can be caused by a bunch of different sensors that have gone bad. Anything from the rear-end sensor, to the steering sensor. I would recommend that if you have any type of warranty you take the car in to get it checked out. Most of the time there is not code on this issue. It is a issue that Cadillac has been dealing with for a few years now.
