DEAR Frank,
ABSOLUTELY
NOT (and with
EXTREMELY good cause
).
Your tank is specifically designed
to NOT LET VAPORS escape... If things are working
properly you ought to be hearing a SUCKING SOUND
when you pull off the gas cap...
Here in
California... EPA folks go completely homicidal
at the notion of gas fumes (this being the STATE where we have BAY FRONT retirement centers for our GAZILLION deathrow inmates... (folks all queued-up for their last meal)...!!
((I'd spell *****-row correctly... but I don't believe it would get past our PC squads)).
Not only are they (vapors) harmful to the environment...
they are
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
Beg, borrow or BUY the book and read up-on
VAPOR RECOVERY system... (
TOTALLY).
Check your charcoal canister is not saturated... and
CONSIDER going to better
GAS STATIONS.
Stop by your local FIRE house or US Coast Guard
duty station
... And find out first hand how easy it is to strike up a conversation on the
EQUIVALENT STICKS of DYNAMITE...
for a
single ounce of PROPERLY VAPORIZED
gas fumes.
It's all incredibly fast and fatal...
Get yourself completely QUALIFIED before you
create a serious disaster!!
Better still... hire a qualified (CERTIFIED) professional.
