2007 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 Questions & Answers
My 2004 dodge 2500 diesel
If the motor has common rail injection it doesn't have a conventional injection pump but it does have a high pressure pump and if the pressure is slow to build due to air leaks, drain back or wear then injection will not begin until the rail pressure is sufficient.
If there is a conventional injection pump it can still suffer similar maladies but will not be capable of generating such expressive codes.
Codes incidentally, often indicate a relay or sensor or something has a fault, though that isn't as simple as it sounds and a code read is only a small step in a diagnostic process. Often it is just as likely the circuit that has the fault - wiring, connections or the ECU itself. Sometimes a fault code is an indication of a fault elsewhere. Other test equipment should be used to verify the fault code and no component should be replaced until it is found to be faulty using independent testing methods and when something must be replaced the circuit should be tested and success verified before moving on to the next stage.
Basics first is the best practice rule and in addition to the obvious basic stuff it is worth noting a good cranking speed is essential and the injector spray patterns and pressures should be tested and while the injectors are out being tested/overhauled why not do a compression test...
I have a 2003 dodge
If its not leaking on the ground, it must be leaking into the coolant via radiator. Nowhere else for it to go...
Fault code "no bus"
Vehicle
The "NO BUS" points to PCM communication failure. Disconnect the battery negative then unplug and plug back in the PCM connectors. Reconnect battery and run engine. Try pulling DTCs with a code scanner. If the PCM won't communicate, it's probably fried.
Problem with hid on 2008 dodge ram 2500
Not too much amperage. HID lights use less amps. Duh. The circuit is showing a failure in the HID kit from not enough amps so it turns off. You need to add a resistor.

The first thing you should check is to see if anything is draining the battery. The easiest way to do this is to dis connect the negative cable of the battery and put a test light between the cable and the battery post. If the light does not light check to make sure you have a good connection by opening a door. the light should light because the dome light would light with the door open. So if you had a good connection and the light did not light the next step is to check the charging system, since most people don't have the neccessary meters to do this at home have your auto mechanic check this for you. Now back to the test light if when hooked up it came on then that is telling you something is draining the battery. First re hook-up the battery and walk around the car and see if you can see anything on (a dome light, map light etc.). If not you will have to try to find what circuit the problem is in. P.S. don't forget the under the hood light if you have one. to eliminate it just take the bulb out for now. To find the problem pull one fuse at a time and recheck till you find the right one. Then you will just have to check each thing operated by that fuse. If there was a draw till the hood buklb was removed the hood bulb needs to checked. To do this hook up the battery and reinstall the bulb, while slowly closing the hood look under the hood at the bulb to see if it goes out. If not adjust by bending or replace the lamp assembly. There is a mercury switch in the lamp that makes it work.
