The heater/ac fan on my

usually when you loose some fan speeds. it is the heater fan resistor. it has differant size coils for each fan sped. if they fail you loose that fan speed. good-luck !

O2 SENSOR

Did you reset the codes after replacing the O2 sensor? It is possible sometimes that the values stored in the ECU for the earlier sensor may be giving the wrong readings. Try resetting the codes and see if it helps. Also, make sure that you replaced the part that was actually needed. If the OBD gives other codes, the problem might not be with the sensor.

Engine wont start, unless I push the gas pedal and keep my foot on it.?

Could be a dirty throttle body, or a stuck idle air control valve.Is the check engine light staying on now ?

Toyota highlander shift lever moves freely but will not shift gears

Take to shop, you may have lost linkage hook up. If you do not know what you are doing, you could really mess it up.

There is a "rattling" noise

Our 09 developed a loud rattle up toward the windshield. Turned out to be the plastic "cowling" that the wipers sit in which runs the length of the engine compartment. I think some servicing requires the cowl's removal so maybe it wasn't reinstalled correctly. Open the hood and along the seam where this cowling attaches to metal trim below (via snap in plastic links), squeeze a thin bit of weather stripping. I actually used a couple of plastic hose nozzle washers in the gap as a test and the rattle disappeared!Its a cheap and easy test in any case.
