2008 Honda Accord - Page 2 Questions & Answers
2008 honda accord 2.4 wont crank but battery is not dead...Please HELP!!
Do the easy things first:
Check the cleanliness and tightness of the battery terminals. Also check the cleanliness and tightness of the earth cable - the black cable, both on the battery terminal and where it attaches to the engine block/bodywork.
Loosen the clamp bolts on the battery terminals and 'twist' the cable connectors on the terminals to clean them. (bear in mind that if you disconnect the battery you may lose the radio code..). Retighten.
A poor earth can cause the problems you describe. The electrical system cannot earth itself and consequently won't crank or is difficult/slow/intermittent to crank.
Bear in mind that a completely dead battery / failing battery will still illuminate your dashboard lights.
But .. check that black battery lead first ...
How to install trunk lid torsion bar on 2008 Honda Accord sedan
most torsion bars ure under the least tension when fully open and have one bar facing right and one left
insert the fixed end in the bracket then with a suitable tool twist the end of the bar down as you put it in the hinge bracket repeat for the opposite bar
It is not easy until you get the idea as to how to twist the bar as you put it in place
How can I remove the lid of the center console?
Then whatever is blocking your access with the screw driver has to either be removed or moved out of the way if a longer screw driver does not do the trick..Can be a PIA but what else can you do? Sometimes a relatively easy repair can be a bear for the reason you have stated.
Replace head lamps
well what you want to do is go to the nearest mechanic and ask them about your headlamps and try to get new ones that is all.
Will my fuel consumption increase from 3500ft above sea level to 0ft sea level?
It rather depends on how you drive more than the altitude. At sea level, you have more air available, which means you have more power available. If you use the power, then you will use more fuel. If you stay light on the "go" pedal, you will use less.
Last time I was in both cities, Calgary had less traffic, and that may be the reason you're using more fuel in Montreal, not the altitude.
Sound does not come on
If the sound doesn't come on there's obviously something wrong with your radio. I would say just go back to the dealership and tell them what's going on with your radio.
And don't forget tell them what's going on wiyh your radio!????
