The bottom of the radiator is blocked with sludge. Remove it, turn it upside down, tape the hose to the connection and hose flush all 4 ways up 90', 180', 270', and 360' until the water runs clear. If overheating has been an issue, just replace the radiator, and add a cleaning additive.

Just found it on a 2014 Tiguan. Found clues on vwwatercooled.com.au forum. Anyway on mine, it is in the boot. Needed to lift out the lid over the spare wheel then remove that, then the foam tray, and it is on the right side on the metal floor. Pretty obvious really .... ;-] Leemac

Open the door. 2. on the door appature above the lock mechanism toward the outer skin of the door you should see two holes one ovalish shaped and one round shaped. 3. pry covers off circular hole (inner).4. insert hook type tool (if you dont have one make one by putting a cheap small flathead scredriver in the vice and bending it into a small L shape at the end about 5mm.5. pull latch mechanism loose (you will have to look for the latch with a small light or feel around for it.6. put outer door handle capping (the stubby part) out by prying off gently and then wiggling.7. slide main part of door handle toward newly exposed hole created by removing capping and then remove. 8. thank me for saving you from tearing your hair out. If we all bought Japanese we wouldent have these ****** problems.

check for loose hoses and splits in the intercooler

If its the 1.4 tsi it can be your change over valve thats faulty its a plastic sealed unit and it gets oil into it

Surging usually means a vacuum leak or valve timing problem. If it's an '09, it does not have a carburetor, so float problems, metering rod problems, and stuck needle valves are not a problem. It could be a fuel pressure regulator or a bad EGR valve. It could be a shift modulator on the transmission if it's an automatic transmission.

Might need to have your keys programmed. Does anything else work in your car ? Does your engine turn over ? If yes, do you have power going to the starter ? If no, may want to check fuses. More detailed information would help

Check the socket for corrosion. If it has a poor contact, the bulb will not light. Also move the wires to see if they are bad.

Sounds like a major weather stripping issue, being an 09 I would hope something like that would be covered under warranty. Mold is no joke, it can make you very sick

Just follow yourt top radiator hose,it's in the thermostat housing.
