The problem is likely to be the hardware wasn't as fine as you were led to believe. where do I find the reset button for a 2009 Subaru Legacy? The gas gauge and the display for how many miles a gallon I am averaging is blinking constantly and occasionally it shows numbers ranging from 2mpg to 65 mpg.. Your automatic transmission has a torque converter which is turned by the engine. This is a liquid coupling and depends on rpm to devolope pressure to overcome the weight of your car while it is on a slope. give it a little bit of gas and the car stops sliding forward , and if you give it even more it starts backing up. It is a downstream sensor which is behind the catalytic coventer. Check the wires before you replace. One more thing did you replaced catalityc converter.
