will it open from the inside and not the outside? how did they get the door panel off they must have opened it. if so then the latch is ok which only leaves the outside handle. If the battery is completely dead a trickle charge won't do much. These are designed to keep a good battery good. You need a regular battery charger set to 10 amps for a couple hours then 2 amps overnight. Be aware that sometimes if your battery has been completely killed it may not work for long, that is your car will start but within a few days or hours it will leave you stranded. You'll know because it will drag when you try to start it. Sometimes you get lucky and it works great for years.

Next time do use a trickle charger! Also if the charge you use is automatic then you can leave it hooked up in 2 amp mode when you are gone. Good luck!

hi, this is a common problem, what you need to do is get the brake light switch replaced, now this is located at the very top of the brake pedal at the back near to where it goes through the bulk head.

If you get on your hand and knees and look close at the brake pedal keep looking at where the pedals runs from to where it goes through the bulk head into the engine bay, now at the very top of the brake pedal inside the car you will see a couple of wires going to a switch that is clipped onto the top of the brake pedals frame so look for this once you have found the wires just follow them until they go into a small plastic switch that the brake pedal operates.

Now it may have even fell off its clip and just be hanging by the wires if this is the case then re-attach it to the pedal base and it will now work, if how ever it is where it should be then the chances are your going to need to get it replaced, some of them you can adjust so if this is the case then adjust it so that when your not pressing the pedal down the switch isnt pressed in, some makes are adjustable and others are not so dont worry if yours isnt, just get it replaced they are cheap to buy and easy to replace, just remember how the old one comes off and you cant go wrong.

door lock relay located in the fuse box/power distribution box in the engine bay.

I'm assuming this is 1.9 litre engine. The sensor is located on the Back side of the engine, (firewall side). It is mounted under the intake manifold at the transmission end of the engine block.

Were the bolts torqued down? Was the Oxygen Sensor a good OEM one, or a Chinese / Mexico copy? Is the connector clean and making good contact? Did you check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes using a Scan Tool computer? Was the vehicle running recently or stored 2 years with fuel that has gone bad? The answer is in there somewhere Pamela. ..

Usually the canister is alongside the fuel tank at the rear of the car. Sometimes vents into the fuel filler pipe.

Circuit Description This ignition system does not use a conventional camshaft position (CMP) sensor that detects valve train position. The ignition control module (ICM) detects when #1 or #3 cylinder has fired on its compression stroke using sensing circuitry integrated within each coil. The sensing circuit detects the polarity and the strength of the secondary voltage output, the higher output is always at the event cylinder. The ICM sends a CMP signal to the engine control module (ECM) based on the voltage difference between the event and waste cylinder firing energy. This system is called compression sense ignition. By monitoring the CMP and crankshaft position (CKP) signals, the ECM can accurately time the operation of the fuel injectors. If the ECM receives an intermittent CMP signal from the ICM, the CMP Resync Counter on the scan tool will increment. When the ECM cannot use the information from the CMP signal, DTC P0340 will set. Diagnostic Aids • The following conditions may cause this DTC to set: - Low resistance in both the #1 and #3 secondary ignition circuits - High resistance in both the #4 and #2 secondary ignition circuits - An intermittent crank signal • An Intermittent crank signal will result in an interrupted cam signal and may set this DTC. • To locate an intermittent problem, monitor the CMP Active Counter parameter while running the engine with a scan tool. The counter should continuously count up to 255, then reset to zero. The counter will stop counting if a fault occurs in the cam signal circuit. If this DTC is determined to be intermittent, refer to Intermittent Conditions .
