It will come out. You can either try to use a slide hammer to bang it out or try to pry it backwards. They are designed to lock in so they can't slide out while driving. Just keep pulling on it. It will eventually come out. I am normally a lot more detailed and careful and try not to use a lot of force but sometimes. You just have to get a BIGGER hammer. Ha. Hope this helps.

Check all belt tensioners and pulleys.Check condition of water pump.Take off all rubber drive belts and check bearings for all pulleys including:water pumpalternatorpower steering pumpair-conditioningas well as all idler pulleys.
