2001 Lexus IS300. If my ECU actually provided codes to obd2 scanner, can the ECU still be bad?
Yes, it is possible for the ECU to be bad even if it is still providing codes to the OBD2 scanner. The ECU is a complex electronic device and it is possible for one or more of its internal components to fail without affecting its ability to communicate with the OBD2 scanner.
In your case, the fact that the codes went away after replacing the #35 fuse and the IAC motor suggests that those were the underlying problems causing the "crank but no start" condition. However, the fact that the car still won't start after those repairs indicates that there is another problem, and it is possible that the ECU is at fault.
To be sure, you would need to take the car to a qualified mechanic and have them perform a more thorough diagnosis. The mechanic may be able to test the ECU to see if it is functioning properly. If the ECU is found to be bad, it will need to be replaced.
Here are some other possible causes of the "crank but no start" condition in your Lexus IS300:
Faulty fuel pump
Faulty spark plugs
Faulty ignition coil
Faulty camshaft or crankshaft sensor
Low compression in one or more cylinders
Clogged fuel filter
Restriction in the air intake system
If the mechanic is unable to find any other problems, then the ECU may indeed be the culprit. However, it is important to rule out all other possibilities before replacing the ECU, as it can be a costly repair.

Where is the location of the fuel pump relay for 2004 Lexus RX330?
does it start with 5%(a tad) right foot throttle pressed?
is the IP cluster, IMMO lamp happy? (immobilizer)?????
check all fused first? NOT RELAYS.
check spark first if engine itself tests good.
the classic way for 100 years a test spark plug used.
if spark is good then spray test fuel works.? FOR 3seconds
if that works, then fueling is bad. (no start)
the knock sensor does not kill spark. (it fine tunes spark timing only and only if the engine pings going fast.
then scan the pCM OBD2 port for DTC errors.
check fuel pressure, at the rail.
ok dead fuel pressure.
fuel pump relay is called on this car
AS
EFI MAIN relay
HORN RELAY SAME (SWAPS)
if the PCM detects spark bad it cuts fuel dead.
to prevent crash and burn as see on TV..
the crash sensor also trips the pump off line.

FUEL PUMP SHUT OFF SYSTEM
The fuel pump shut off system stops supplying fuel to the
engine to minimize the risk of fuel leakage when the engine
stalls or an airbag inflates upon collision. To restart the engine
after the fuel pump shut off system activates, turn the ignition
switch to "
ACC" or "LOCK" once and start it.

Hi, I need help with Error code P2121 On a 2006 Lexus IS250.
Some throttle pedals when they are replaced need to be calibrated to the vehicle so the electronics understands were the new pedal is for each position as you use the pedal. This is often done using an OBD2 diagnostic system.
If you have to pay for this service ask at 4 or 5 different places as prices can be VERY different.

2013 Lexus RX 350 crankshaft position sensors is located where
NO COUNTRY TOLD at all. (sold to day1 new) no VIN told no VIN #8 digit told so we can see what engine is there. and what country, some have 8 engines choices not one I can guess and is a pure engine question the endless hunt here. 2 gas engines here and 1 hybrid , engine is TOYOTA's USA got the 3.5L V6, are you here? USA??? the USA engine has 2 pin CKP sensor, 2 pins is huge clue. crank sensors are on the cranks sure but are on front, middle or rear of crank or even under flywheel, 4 places all engines, 1 is true the cranks shaft has the CKP huge tone while dead front of crank. the service manual covers this, only or you can google this. toyota 3.5 L 2GR-FE V6 cranks sensor location bingo.(note using the real name)

Lexus RX400H won't start. Prior suddenly stopping the car was having temperature issue. It has been scanned with 3 different machines, but it is only picking light and ac error code.
2006 Lexus RX400H hybrid .and long story.(you added and very very good)and if was mine, my story would be same, park it and wonder what to next.?this car is very complex, unlike ICE real cars were simple and still are to a good extent.I do wish you find a good shop to cure all that.a full service manual in hand may do the trick.IDK.good luck! and be SAFE.use the scan tool as the hybrid starts and fails to light off the engine, see DTC code for that.scan before ,during and after failuresand use the pending button too on t he scan tool as here may be marginal or intermittent failuresalso (Im no hybrid guru) but some hybrids do not run the engine (to save fuel) until the battery has some amount of discharge detected.some even have switches to set the mode you want, save fuel or save battery life, IDK this car.

Oil light on engine work roughly
It is possible that the issue could be related to low oil pressure in the engine, as this can cause the engine to run roughly. I suggest having a qualified technician take a look at your engine to check the oil pressure and ensure that it is within the acceptable range. Additionally, they should be able to advise you on the best course of action and help you solve any other issues that may be causing the rough running.

2003 Lexus RX300 - Front Headlight - How to replace small round 3 inch light
The round bullseye light? I thought that is the daytime driving light but it's not, it is Main or Low beam. I read that the best way to remove those is to turn the wheel and remove the wheel well liner. It gives the best access in that corner. I asked the mechanic at the Lexus dealership because I told him it was hard to get to the lights because of the battery being in the way, and I read that tip. He said "yes it is the easier way".A trick for testing your lights is to park in a mall with a glass window in front of the car. You can go through the lighting options and see what is working.

1999 lexus gs300 wont start
What EXACTLY does it do when you turn the key? This will give clues as to where the problem could be.
A slow sluggish crank suggests a low battery charge or an old weak battery. In general any battery over 5 years old is considered 'Old' especially if the vehicle is used a lot.
Just spinning could be a Spark issue and spinning, catching and immediately stalling out could be a fuel supply problem.
Comment below with more information and I'll try to help you more.

Range readout does not show anymore
Range, <<< seen where?
we cannot see what you see, here.
sorry.
wild guess transmission range fails on the cluster??????????
car drives ok, not told , job 1. yes/no.
well we scan the PCM (means OBD2 port on dash) scan TOOL.
and see why.?
causes are (but the error matters) DTC
1: lost comms from TCM to PCM and cluster brains.
2: transmission PRNDL switch fails but does car drive oK>?
3: wiring related to all that failing.
4: check fuses for blown?

1999 lexus rx 300 lose of power untill you get to 40 or 50 mph then stop sign, start all over, anybody have a clue?
The problem you're experiencing with your 1999 Lexus RX 300, where the vehicle loses power until reaching 40 or 50 mph and then starts over again at a stop sign, as well as a high-pitched noise that is not normal, could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few possible causes and solutions:
- Mass air flow sensor (MAF) - The MAF sensor may be faulty and not sending the proper signals to the engine control module (ECM), causing the engine to lose power. A mechanic will need to diagnose and replace the MAF sensor if necessary.
- Throttle position sensor (TPS) - The TPS may be faulty and not sending the proper signals to the ECM, causing the engine to lose power. A mechanic will need to diagnose and replace the TPS if necessary.
- Engine control module (ECM) - The ECM may be faulty and not sending the proper signals to the engine, causing the engine to lose power. A mechanic will need to diagnose and replace the ECM if necessary.
- Exhaust system - The high-pitched noise could be caused by a problem with the exhaust system, such as a leak or blockage. A mechanic will need to diagnose and repair or replace the exhaust system as necessary.
- Transmission - The transmission may be faulty and not shifting properly, causing the car to lose power. A mechanic will need to diagnose and repair or replace the transmission if necessary.
- Fuel system - There could be a problem with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or a malfunctioning fuel pump. A mechanic will need to diagnose and fix the problem.
It's important to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose the problem and perform the necessary repairs. Some of the issues can be easy to fix, but some require more extensive repairs and knowledge of the systems.
