2008 Lexus IS 250 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My 2008 is250 trunk cant open. please assist
Have you tried the "valet switch" in the glove box? This switch is used when you don't want a service person in your glove box OR your trunk - only the physical key will open the trunk or glove box. The trunk opener switch under the dash won't work either if the "valet switch" is activated.
The switch is located at the top of the glove box on my GS350 - yours may be different.
Afs light blinking
Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) is used when for example if it was day time and you entered a dark parking garage the lights would detect and adapt to the lighting environment which will then automatically trigger the Bi-xenon headlights to turn on themselves in order to illuminate the road ahead when the vehicle anticipates it is necessary. It is an automatic feature which turns on by itself for your convenience therefore you wont have to induce any actions, the car does it all for you. And most Importantly (I quote) "the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) automatically controls the headlight lighting pattern according to steering angle and vehicle speed to help provide better visibility at night You will need to see the dealer on this, the part that causes this is dealer only

the vehicle speed sensors are on all four wheels, not cheap and even if you change them all, the light still needs to be shut off with a anti-lock brake scanner. either live with the light or bring it to a brake shop that has the tool.
System warning light won't go off
it's just your tire inflation pressure warning system. With the same button's you use to input the MPH warning lights or RPM warning lights, go to the Tire pressure settings and change it back to Default / Tire1.. I forget what it says. Look in your manual if this doesnt help... I am positive that this is the cause.

How to remove a 06 Lexus is250 ECU and mainly the junction block mounted inside the case that sits above the ECU
- Locate the ECU: The ECU is typically mounted under the hood of the vehicle, near the firewall.
- Disconnect the battery: To avoid any electrical shock or damage, disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning the removal process.
- Remove the cover: There is likely a cover or panel that needs to be removed to access the ECU. This may be held in place with screws or clips.
- Disconnect the electrical connections: The ECU will have several electrical connections that need to be disconnected before it can be removed. These connections may include plugs, wiring harnesses, and other components.
- Remove the mounting screws: The ECU is usually mounted to the vehicle with screws. Remove these screws to release the ECU from the mounting bracket.
- Remove the ECU: Once the screws are removed, the ECU should come out relatively easily. It may need to be lifted out over the junction block or other components.
- Remove the junction block: The junction block is mounted above the ECU and may be held in place with screws or clips. Once the ECU has been removed, the junction block should be easy to access and remove.
Note: It's important to follow the steps carefully and to be cautious when removing electrical components from a vehicle. If you're not confident in your abilities, consider hiring a professional mechanic to remove the ECU and junction block for you.

Hi Guys,
Any idea to change the language Japanese to English for Lexus IS 250
Frankly, I would check locally to see if there is a Japanese translator that would do this for you for a small nominal fee. You can check public libraries and courthouses for possible translators. Craigslist is also another good resource. Check local colleges for persons taking Japanese language!
Someone who can translate is willing to do this for a small ($20?) Fee. Good luck!
