The type of motor oil for my Tucson

either 5w30 or10w30. some people use 5w30 in the winter its easier for the oil to get around cold and 10w30 in the summer others pick one and use it for the life of their car. as far as brand they are all just about the same. i've heard good about fully synthetic and i've experienced the bad part i've heard about before hand

I havea 2009 tuscon sx. the ESP OFF light comes on

Whenever that ESP/ESC warning light comes on, there is a diagnostic code set (DTC). This code tells the technician which component in the system CAUSED the ESP/ESC control module to turn ON the warning light!

Did the technicians SCAN for any DTC's? Since the vehicle is a 2009, the service department is supposed to have Hyundai's GDS (Global Diagnostic System) available to do this. If they don't have this equipment, find a service department that DOES!

Hyundai audio system in acting weird?

What happened, you forgot to pay your radio bill? Now for the solution. I suspect you tend to turn on the headlights to see in the darkness. That may be the hint that will help find the problem! Try turning on your headlights at the times you say it works and see what happens. If the radio goes off, you have a short somewhere that shorts out the radio power!

Replace fuel pump

Instructions
    • Locate the fuse panel under the hood of your vehicle, then open it and remove the fuel pump fuse with your hands.
    • 2Start your car and allow the fuel system to depressurize by allowing the car to idle until the engine dies.
    • 3
    • Reinstall the fuse, then disconnect the battery with a ratchet and socket. Drain the gas from the gas tank with a siphoning kit.
    • 4Remove the back seat by unbolting the base with a ratchet and socket and lifting the seat out with your hands. The bolts are located on either side of the seat near the base. You will also need the assistance of another person to lift the seat out safely.
    • 5Remove the wiring harness by gently pulling it from the connector, and detach the rubber grommet with a flat head screwdriver. Unbolt the fuel tank cover with a ratchet and socket, remove it with your hands, pull the wires through the grommet, detach the fuel line hoses with a fuel-line disconnect tool, and lift the hoses out. Cap the hoses with rubber hose plugs.
    • 6Reach directly into the gas tank, then remove the fuel filter using two adjustable wrenches, placing one on either side of the fuel filter. You will recognize the fuel filter by its filtering paper cartridges.
    • 7Install the new filter, then follow the previous steps in reverse to complete the installation. Refill your gas take when finished.

carfax.com I think its like 14 $ to do it. Why? does it have a salvage title? If your buying a car this is a good site because you can find out if someone messed with odometer or if has been in an accident how many owners ect. You can do multiple cars with membership.

Have a Hyundai Tuson. Worn out cam shaft gear

if all these parts have wear marks then all the components will have to be replaced with new.you can have the cam reground but its probably cheaper and quicker to replace with new by the time you find a place to weld regrind the lobes and get the part back and hope it won`t give you a problem,so you don`t have to tear down again.
