I have used the Apple iPod cable with no problem in the Elantra USB port with an iPod Nano & iPod Classic. You have to change the music settings, skip songs, etc. from the iPod which is distracting while driving.

I purchased the cord made by Hyundai at the dealership, that plugs into both USB and aux port. The music titles, album info etc show up on the radio screen, and you can use the buttons on the radio to change the tunes, view artists, albums... (safer while driving!). Do you have a case on your iPods? I have experienced the "reading error" with the Hyundai cord on my son's iPod Classic (he has a leather case on it). It seems to do that because the plug going in to the iPod is not making full contact with the iPod because of the case. When he takes the case off and reconnects, there are no further problems.

It is not common for it to split for no reason. Possibly something hit it when it was parked, heat affects how easy it breaks as well. They probably wont cover it under warranty because it was driven off lot in one piece. Your insurance company will cover it though but meay be cheaper in long run to fix yourself because of insurance premiums. Also it could have started as a tiny small crack and split down middle real quickly. Is it hot where you are at. Try to ask dealer though if they will replace it, it doesnt hurt to try. Some will do it just to maintain you as a customer.

Your alarm is activated and deactivated by the use of the FOB...

Think about it this way; If you have a house alarm, does it turn off by itself just because you opened the front door? No, of course not, you need to then enter the code to deactivate the house alarm.

Same thing with the FOB, it cancels the alarm.

Use a good scan tool which should identify the failing sensor/circuit when the vehicle stalls,so you can do the correct repair.

I had that problem with a explorer. The door latch assembly needed to be lubed. It was rubbing where the linkage was hooked to the lock lever.

Tyres on the same axles must be the same type and size.

I cannot find it either and I've replaced many starter motors, water pumps, brakes, radiators in various motor vehicles and I cannot find the starter on a 1997 elantra wagon, 5 spd manual.

TIME TO REPLACE THE MOTOR

If your saying when the problem is ongoing, the starter motor won't crank the engine, if you'll post model year, I'll try to post wiring diagram for starter motor, sometimes we can bypass everything just to see if starter motor will crank the engine? Any testing at starter motor make sure transmission is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. Vehicle can't move.

Hi is it that the safety belt it is surely the safety belt that has jammed in door if so get someone on outside to hold it in the open position and the other one inside to push hard with his feet,it some times take a kick to open from inside not saying you should but there you are some times it the only way.
