Look you have to take the thing out to change the boot yes you need tools . Just buy a rebuilt one for 40 dollars or so and put it in end of problem you will get 10 bucks back or so for the old one.

Check the fuse and the bulbs, they might be blown.

Knowing the MY (model/year) tells me the horn is the problem. Yet, there is a Horn Relay and a fuse which feeds it power. A simple test with a 12 volt light bulb can verify/eliminate this as the cause. Connect a bulb (12 volt) to the connector contacts which plug into the horn. Then activate the horn (press on the steering wheel airbag) to see if the bulb lights up. If it does, then it's the horn. If it doesn't (make sure the bulb and connections are good), then the problem is in the wiring/relay/fuse.

bosch or NGK mag wires are best. plugs any you want , if car short miles car, every year go cheap plugs , if hard to reach go best plugs. I like NGK the best, but there are other good brands.
