2004 Oldsmobile Alero. How do you check the fuel pump on it please?
- WELL TO GET FUEL YOU MUST CRANK AND TEST PRESSURE TO SPEC, NOT TOLD ENGINE DEAD, (ESP DAY)
- BLOWN FUSES
- ECU SEES SPARK ERROR MAX AND CUTS FUEL DEAD!!!!
- SCAN THE PCM,FORGET THAT, ? OOPS, NEVER GOOD THAT.
- FUEL PUMP RELAY BAD.
- WIRES FRONT TO REAR, RELAY TO PUMP BAD (RUSTY CONN)
- BAD PUMP.
- FUEL PUMP REGULATOR VALVE STUCK WIDE OPEN, HAPPENS. SEND ALL FUEL TO THE RETURN LINE.
Where is the orifice tube in a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero 2.2 please?

EGR on some it is in the rusty exhaust pipe just to the rear of the main EGR valve.

The switch electrical circuit is of the pull up resistor type input to the BCM , when the BCM see's this input ,logic in the microprocessor knows to energize the trunk lid release relay sending battery voltage to the trunk lid actuator .

Highly doubt the switch being your problem . Hooking up a factory or someother type professional scan tool an checking switch state - active or inactive would be the best way to diagnose , without taking thing's apart right way .
