Watch Scotty Kilmer's videos on checking for cylinder head gasket leaks. Always diagnose, don't guess based on bubbles which can be caused by air sitting in the cooling system.

Head Gasket replacement is not for the faint hearted. You need a good set of tools and a torque wrench. And whilst you are in there, you might as well check and lap (fine grind) the valve mating surfaces. You can also get additives that can seal SMALL and I mean small, cylinder head leaks. Scotty Kilmer has videos on that as well.

Your fuel pump is located inside of the fuel tank. You will need to drop the tank and remove the lock ring that holds the sending unit into the tank. I don't have a video, but Google might be able to find you something.
There are a few potential causes for the trunk light in a 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale not working at night. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the trunk light bulb to make sure it is not burnt out or loose.
Check the fuse for the trunk light in the fuse box. If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
Inspect the wiring for the trunk light for any damage or lose connections.
Check the trunk light switch to make sure it is functioning properly.
If the issue persists, you may need to have the electrical system in the trunk inspected and repaired by a professional mechanic.
I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask.
Backfire is a sign you fuel/air mix is wrong. The backfire is the excess fuel burning in the exhaust. Have you got any warning lights on the dash? When was the last time it was last given a major service? A dirty air or fuel filter can cause issues.
Check your Air intake and fuel system. It could be starving the engine of air or supplying too much fuel to the injectors.
It happens at over 55mph because the engine is working hard and fast pulling a lot of fuel through to do it.

Coolant Temperature Gauge
The coolant temperature gauge is also operated by 2 coils. Battery voltage is applied to both coils. One coil is grounded directly and the other coil is grounded through the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. The ECT has 55 ohms resistance at 127°C (260°F). The resistance becomes greater at low temperatures. The resistance is approximately 1400 ohms at 38°C (100°F). This causes the current through the sensor and one coil to increase as the coolant temperature increases. This moves the pointer.
Probably the coolant temp sensor . have you tried that ? No, relay in the circuit .
I tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and works perfect! got it from www.reliable-store.com
If it works only in the max position, the resistor thermal fuse has gone, a common problem in Passats. Napkin sell for 50p. If it also plays up on maximum then it could be a faulty switch or wiring.
Battery connections good , battery ground cable connection on the frame an engine clean an tight ? No corrosion . I wouldn't look for any ground issues under your seat . No power , main cable problem , to starter etc...
What engine. ? Did you try pressing on the gas a little to see if it will keep running ? You get no codes ? You know how to do the flash code test ? Clean the throttle bore an idle air control passages . Have you changed spark plug's & wire's ? Ever ? Fuel filter
Do the insturment cluster light's come when you turn the key to the on position ? check engine , security , brake , air bag ,ABS etc....
Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Do you know what a electrical distribution diagram is ? How to use a wiring diagram to pin point testing areas in a wiring harness ? You need to learn how to test electrical system instead of guessing . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model , an engine size . Under system click on electrical distribution , then under subsystem click power distribution . Click search button , then the blue link. How did you check fuse's ? Pull them out an look at them ? Test with a volt meter . The metal tab's on top of the fuse .!
The BEST Way TO Perform Parasitic Draw Test
Is there B+ voltage at the IGN/RAP / ACCY 60 amp fuse in the right maxi fuse box . Plus IGN maxi 60amp fuse in the left maxi fuse box. Have B+ voltage across both of these check for B+ voltage at the electrical part of the ignition switch ! Do you know where that is an how to get at it ? If you want to fix cars you need to learn how , not guess .
