I commend you for wanting to replace it yourself, but if you don't know what it looks like and how to locate it, I doubt you can replace it. You need wrenches and a socket set. You are dealing with a large amperage cable and if you disconnect the battery, you will have to input the radio code and reset the alarm and engine immobilizer. Usually you access the starter from underneath, so you need a jack and axle stands, or a pair of ramps. And it is HEAVY. It is on the side of the engine, so better than some, but they hid it under the left bank of the angled V6 engine..https://www.autozone.com/batteries-starting-and-charging/starter/lincoln/ls It is hidden behind the right front tyre. Hi,
This should be verified by either Lincoln or a professionally trained/licensed local mechanic so as to avoid any hazardous issues that might result in the transmission swap. Thank you.
"O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1"
Just change the one in Bank 1, why change good sensors.
"O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 2 Sensor 1"
Probably just an air leak.
NEVER use aftermarket or remanufactured spares, they are not always compatible.
Based on the information you provided, it sounds like there may be an issue with the body control module (BCM) in your vehicle. The BCM is responsible for controlling various electrical systems in your car, including the brake lights, turn signals, and remote keyless entry.
When the BCM fails, it can cause intermittent issues with various electrical systems, and pulling and replacing fuses may temporarily clear the problem.
However, it is also possible that the issue could be caused by a loose or damaged wiring connection, or a faulty relay.
To diagnose and repair the problem, it is recommended that you take your car to a qualified mechanic or dealership with experience in electrical system diagnostics. They will be able to run diagnostic tests on your car's computer system to pinpoint the root cause of the issue and recommend the necessary repairs.
check coolant level -oil level and condition if milky --but water in spark plug holes is an indication of blown head gasket --cracked head--block or intake
Trying to bypass an Immobiliser isn't a good idea. The system is wired into many areas of the electronics. Cutting and tying wires randomly can create SERIOUS problems. By Serious I really mean VERY expensive!
Get a Good Auto Electrician to have a look at it and they will be able to tell you what is wrong.
I would recommend the flush due to all of the fluid is pushed out with new fluid so it should push the old out with the new . I've never flushed one and it cause to stsrt slipping . If you have metal shavings on the clutches you may need to do a clutch replacement and you may be smelling a burnt clutch . It's smells awful like rurnt eggs or something awful . I would definitely look into where the shaving are from and if it's gonna keep hitting whatever it's hitting before I replaced the fluid . Trans fluid I cheap and if you change it and shavings is still generating then you wasted your money on the fluid change..
