Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the engine block there should be a thermostat housing that it attaches to, remove the housing and the thermostat is there.

You say 'Crank, no start', but you also say 'it will not turn over'. They are the same thing, if it cranks, it is turning over, but not 'firing' or 'starting'. After you disconnected the battery, did you reset the Security System and Engine Immobilizer? You know it has one, that flashing light on the dash? I what to make sure this is correct, this is a 2004 lexus rx 330 and the shop said it was 15 hours to replace the lower control arm. This sounds crazy but it is ture, the engine and trans must be removed to replace the lower control arm, i would replace them both as the labor is only 1/2 hour more to do both,and it inculde an alignment in that time also. its a dumb design. hope this helps good day.

I have read this 6 times and still not sure what the issue is? I have a 2005 ES330. To open all the doors with the key fob, you have to double press the Unlock Button. Pressing the Unlock button once, only opens the driver door. the fluid must never be over filled as most do. if was that caused foam up of the ATF and bearings are destroyed.
