There is a button location underneath the headrest. Lift headrest as high as possible, feel for the button, press and continue to lift up.

Check the coolant level first. Make sure it is full. Take a look at the condition of the coolant. It should be bright red, green, or yellow depending on the type of coolant. If it is dark, rusty, or muddy than it is likely that the heater core has plugged do to the lack of maintenance of your cooling system . The good news is the heater hoses can be removed from the heater core and the heater core can be back flushed to try and clean it out. This works 90% of the time. If heat returns than flush the cooling system to help prevent it from happening again. If heat still does not return than the heater core would need to be replaced. $$$$$ this vehicle may have a manual valve that controls the coolant flow to the heater core. Look for the heater hoses near the fire wall. The valve is usually inline with one of the hoses and will have a cable attached. If you see it make sure the cable is moving when you turn the heat select knob from full hot to full cold. The following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems. Also engine mechanical problems ca cause many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other symptoms

The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

I am assuming you bave chechked the battery. Jump the positive terminal on solenoid with terminal going into starter from the solenoid. If the starter spins replace solenoid. If it doesn't check starter itself starting with the brushes.

Sorry not available in my alldata book ,as for alternator bracket this should be easy to change without any diagram for a proper mechanic worth his salt. Bring engine to TDCno1 but taking the plug out and lower a long thin screwdriver do locate TDC then paint the gears with white paint before taking the old one off .

the water pump may be faulty & needs to be replaced or the radiator could be blocked either internally or externally,check that the core is free of insects or other debris.....hope this helps......cheers.

yes you lilkly shorted the 'main' fuse that requires taking the fuse box under the hood apart and unbolting it, you can see if it is indeed blown by usuing a flash light to look in the glass part of the fuse.
