With a backup camera I installed on my wife's Pathfinder, there was a power wire that connected to the backup light power. So when the backup lights came on in reverse, the camera got power, sent a video signal to the dash radio screen, and it would automatically switch to that input. You might have a bad wire/connection supplying power to the camera.

Did you check the brake fluid level? A low level might cause the light to come on.
If it's 1997 or newer, and then likely OBD2, take it to a local autozone or similar parts store. Most should scan and clear codes for free, hoping you will then buy parts from them.

You need to have an OBD2 fault code test run.

It's not the cable if you can open the hood from inside. The mechanical safety latch is broken. If you can find one in a junkyard, get it, otherwise, it's off to the dealer to order it which will be more expensive than the junkyard version.

Possibly the handle, used to position the seat, has internally "stripped out". Take the handle off and inspect the inside splines. If stripped, replace the handle.

This is caused by a defective "Door Ajar" sensor in the latch of the tailgate.

Use the manual release inside the trunk, it is tiny cable with a plastic handle on it.

You have possibly melted a couple of wires together along the radio circuit. Also the radio unit itself has 1 or more protection fuses actually inside the unit that have blown, usually at back of unit in little bay near the wire clusters. Check your relays too, a blow out through jump starting can do all sorts of little burn-outs.

On the block...

pull them straight out of fuse panel

take it to a brake shop and have the linings and pads check for thickness if it just a squeal then that will be the indicator running on the disc if worse it could be damaged discs and drums

well bad news there are located under the intake manifold each plug has a coil,is there a certain cylinder missing if so you could just do it but i recommend do all the plugs and coils,good luck you pulled the code and its p0302 its cylinder #2 each cylinder is numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6, so depending on what code it is p030? hope this helps

Hi Tjshatley, For most cars that's a warning indicator meaning your tail OR brake lights are out, Check both.... It's a fuse/relay not working.......CHEERS..

You must GENTLY pry the mirror and light assembly carefully out of the recess it snaps into in the visor.
