The problem may be related to each other. It could be the motor/solenoid that controls the elevator that may have gone bad. Error 4 is a product of the issue. Check for burnt parts like resistors or swollen or leaking parts on the board.

Error 3: Mechanical Malfunction (Replace CD player.)

Error 4: CD Player Overcurrent (Allow CD player to cool and try again.)

The clock and the control

The clock and the control Problem with the 2005 Lexus RX330 the clock and the control buttons for my air conditioner in my 2005 lexus rx330 stop working however the navi still works what could this be?

These are totally different circuits. You will need to first check all of your fuses inside and out side the car. If you take this to be checked at a trusted repair shop it will be very cheap and you will have the satisfaction of knowing a professional did the search. Also - take down your vin # - call the local New Car dealer - and ask them where the fuse for that is located - or better yet drop by the dealer. Ask about recalls as well while at the dealer.

Best of it

2005 Lexus Rx330 Ballast problem??? First I saw

Well, we seem to have a real dilema here. I just searched the service manual for your 2005 RX330 and I cannot find any reference to a ballast for the HID headlamp bulbs. According to the wiring diagram, they are wired to the Headlamp Control Relays in Junction Block #2. (Right-hand side of the engine compartment) These relays are "Solid State", so my guess is that the balast for the HID may be built in to them. These are controlled by the Body Control Module. I would recommend scanning the body control module for fault codes before doing anything else. The first step in the diagnostic chart for the headlamp system is to perform a diagnostic systems check. There is a symptom chart to follow if there are no codes present, but if there are codes in the system, you could be shooting yourself in the foot trying to follow the symptom chart without first correcting any fault codes. This is not your fathers headlamp system - it is equipped with tracking control and automatic headlamp leveling...VERY sophisticated. Also lots of stuff that can break...this is what I call JOB-SECURITY- - LOL!

I can't seem to figure

well ms dragon on my cheap subarus, saturns, hyundais, the tool is snapped into the fuse panel cover. so you remove the tool, use it to pull the fuse, then put it back in. i would think for the extra bucks involved in purchasing a lexus there would be one provided there also. have you looked? it is usually a different and bright color.

auto parts stores are good places to buy auto parts and auto repair tools, have you looked?

on the other hand i have always found good old needle nose pliers, hardware stores and auto parts stores, are handy for this as they are not plastic and hence do not have a tendency to slip off.

when you start to pull them, note they are color coded, obey the color codes when putting them back in.

if your battery maintainer(charger)has the capability to charge from a higher charge to lower charge as the battery gets charged up and shut off when proper voltage is attained then you can leave the battery in the car as every time you disconnect it you have to reset everything in the car.some now can detect when to turn off and turn on as the car sits and voltage drops to low.don`t know which ones do and don`t someone may be able to answer that if they know about them.

Removed battery while replacing thermostat in my

Most vehicles now-a-days come equip with an on board computer. This computer stores and records several statistics about the operation, condition, and overall health of the vehicle. When you remove the battery, this computer is reset. The results can be a loss of oil level records (when it was changed, when it needs to be changed) tire pressure defaults, etc. In addition, as the vehicle is driven, the computer makes adjustments to things like fuel injection on the engine and other active tasks to improve mileage or performance.

When you reset the computer, it reset all the data along with it. This may cause the check engine light to come on as the car no longer knows the status of certain frequently changed or replaced parts. Your traction was probably turned off either as a response to this or because it was the default for the vehicle; seek out the manual for your vehicle and it should tell you how to re-enable this feature. Lastly, the idle may seem rough because you reset the computer and it no longer provides a tailored level of fuel injection. Over time, this issue should resolve its self as the computer learns.

- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit fuse
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) When is the code detected? The P0037 is set when the ECM detects an excessively low voltage through the heated oxygen sensor heater circuit P0037 LEXUS Description Oxygen Sensors (O2S) or Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) need to reach a minimum operating temperature of 750 degrees F to produce an accurate voltage signal. The faster the heated oxygen sensor reaches that temperature the faster the sensor will start sending an accurate signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).

In order to achieve the require temperature, a heater element is included inside the heated oxygen sensor. The ECM controls the heated oxygen sensor heater element based on signals from the engine coolant temperature and engine load. The ECMcontrols the heater element circuit by allowing current flow to ground.

The ECM monitors the voltage signal received through the heater element circuit and determines the state of the circuit by comparing the voltage detected with the factory specifications.

VSC light came on, why?

Most of the time the VSC light will come on with check engine and trac off light. (picture of veh with squiggle lines behind it) Whatever triggers a Check eng turns the vsc and trac systems off. could be a loose gas cap or something related to emissions system. Most times it will have to be diagnosed. Veh maybe equipped to turn vsc off, there would be a button for it.

Where is the box dvd

Go read this website

www.lexusoverride.com

Here is what I believe is the situation.

2005 RX 330 has Gen 4, version 4.2 firmware and maps -- override works
Gen 4, version 5.1 firmware and maps -- override works
Gen 4, version 6.1 firmware and maps -- override fails
Gen 4, version 7.1 firmware and maps -- override fails

Gen 4, version 5.1 DVD has a file named loading.kwi. This file changed in version 6.1 which is why the override fails.

The hybrid DVD takes the Gen 4, version 6.1 files and replaces its loading.kwi with the loading.kwi from the version 5.1 DVD. One has to burn this on DVD+R DL media at no more than 4X (burner must be able to DVD+R).

Gen 4, version 6.1 + loading.kwi(version 5.1) = hybrid 6.1 DVD -- override works

Theoretically, this will work with the version 7.1 firmware, but I have not had time to research that issue completely. My initial thinking is that some other changes have occurred that may prevent this hack from working.

Also, once one loads one version the only way to go back a version is to remove fuse TV-1 for the Nav unit which powers it off and it will then do a complete reload when power is restored. The same could be accomplished by removing the battery cable and then replacing it.

The problem becomes one of finding a version 5.1 and 6.1 DVD. I did find this site for downloading loading.kwi but have not had time to study it.

So much for now. It is late.
