My lexus rx300 reads codes p0171 and p0174 system

The injectors on that side maybe clogging up a bit,try a good fuel injector cleaner such as ,LUCAS fuel treatment, use it with as less fuel as possible,it will clean better, there most likely is a restriction on the fuel spray on the injectors, have the fuel pressure regulator checked,it may be passing too much fuel back to the tank.

RX300 2003 1MZ V6 engine engine hunting when hot n dies off

There isn't just one cause for this symptom. Is the engine light on while it is running? If so, please have the codes read and forward them. My first guess for "Hunting" is timing. The timing belt may be loose or the crankshaft sprocket could be loose. There could also be an electrical issue with the fuel system, ignition system or a component related to the ECM. Please write back with more diagnostic information and I will do my best to help.

1999 Lexus rx300 after dropping transmission pan will I run into problems with something falling out

No, nothing will drop down into the pan when it is removed. The only precaution that you will need to prepare for is the transmission fluid. Supporting the pan and directing the fluid can be messy. Wear safety glasses, lay down cardboard, have plenty of rags on hand and a large drain pan.

Is my rx300 a non-interference engine?

It is not, there are complaints about the timing chain noise and there are not many 6 cylinder engines that you have to worry about that one.

Lexus RX 300 RPM go up when driving at 40 MPH

Is it a standard? If so sounds like the clutch is giving up and needs replacing. If it is an automatic then check fluid level might be low, that can cause slippage.

Replacing plugs is not a complete tuneup. Problem could be in plug wires or in coil that fires the plug. If you lookup codes and identify cylinders that are misfiring, try disconnecting that plug wire on both ends (plug on one end, coil on the other) and substituting a different one temporsrily. If your coils are mounted directly to the plug, try swapping coils between cylinders to see if the problem shifts to a different cylinder.

I have a knocking sound from my left rear wheel as

Hi, The first thing to do is take off the hub caps & see if one or more wheel nuts have come off! If that is not the answer then check if one of the brake pads has come adrift. The only thing easy left is the wheel bearing, should that not solved then you have a half shaft problem and you need to take that out look at the teeth on part that goes into the Diff the teeth should be straight if not then you need new half shaft & if one has gone you can be assured so has the opposite wheels well on they way to going or your Diff needs renewing & thats expensive. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

Yes, I would have to agree that it is a wheel bearing if the noise is only coming from the left side. Not uncommon on this year and model.

Bought used RX 300, master key fob broken, flat key doesnt work

You can get empty key cases on ebay, open the old key case and remove the transponder with the buttons on it and transfer it to the new key case, no programming necessary because you are using the same transponder, al that's left then is to have the key cut to fit the ignition switch.
