Check Compression on cylinders looking for a bad head gasket. Look for bubbling in coolant and check spark plugs for residue. Check exhaust for steam. Hope this helps?

There are two possibilities here. One, the key is so worn that it won't move the tumbler in the lock. The other, more likely, is that one of the tumblers has fallen out of place from wear. Most likely you will need to replace the key and switch. Be sure to keep the old key so you can open your doors and trunk.
