I just had the same thing happen! I went to Autozone and Gabriel helped me figure out it was the brake switch that was bad. $16.99 for the part and he loaned me the tools to easily replace it. Life saver! Thanks Gabriel!!

Could be a faulty injector. Or a problem with the wiring harness or the engine computer.
Engine light, vsc, vsc off come on. code P0121 and P0120
It is your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), the black component on the side of your Throttle Body normally on the right side as you look from the front of your engine.
Take the **** of a screw driver and tap the TPS, while the car is on, you might notice a fluctuation. tapping again may not yield a response but it is prone to jolts.
Before replacing it, try to check the resistance with a Digital Volt Meter on the terminals. You can check Haynes Book at a local supply store that might have it or go to a book store that carry the books. Each series of Lexus/Toyota have there own value. If the values are off, loosen the mounting screws and turn the TPS clock wise until you get the values needed. A slight movement is all that is needed or tolerated so take care not to over adjust or the fix will not work.
If you want to just replace it then not where it is positioned and place the new one starting at a counter clock wise postion then place the new TPS and rotate to exact position the old one was and then tighten down. Caution it is best to check the resistance values to insure proper adjustment.
Hope this helps
Charged battery will be dead in about 8:hours after the cables are put on and tightened
Hi , you need to have the battery checked for condition, it may not be retaining charge because one or more of the cells is in bad condition. Assuming you have a 12v battery, it should be producing rather more than that while the engine is running and the charging circuit is performaing it's task of keeping it charged. Ideally this value will be around the 14 v mark. If the value is below the 12v the battery requires then the battery will not charge but slowly become depleted. Somebody should check the battery output with the engine running , with a multimeter, to establish whether this is the case.
If the output is below 12v have the alternator checked, check the drive belt is appropriately tensioned so that the alternator can be properly driven. It may be that the alternator itself is faultyand needs servicing or replacement.
It might be that there is a fault with one of the components in the electrical system that is the battery to drain, this is not very unusual and can sometimes be traced to components such as the BCM, (body control module,) an electrician can establish this for you.
It should be a fairly straightforward task to track the cause of this problem in the case the battery/belt/alternator are at fault.
How do I know my fuel pump has gone bad in my 1995 lexus gs300
there will be no sound , no fuel pressure and it will not start
however a bad fuel pump may be the result of other failed units including the relay , pressure regulator, wiring , EVAP system
so run the fault codes first to eliminate all other possible causes for the pump not working
My car won't start
what about having the fault codes read ( should have been the first step)
the money that you have spent may have been wasted if the timing belt is broken, the immobilizer is operational, cam.crank position sensor problems , no fuel pressure from faulty fuel pressure regulator
