The warning light comes on when the alternator is not charging the battery. The alternator would need to be checked when the light is on.

it must of had work done on the heater because the control valve is hooked up backwards

What have you checked so far ?You need spark at the right time, fuel to the injector, and normal compression for the cylinder to produce power.Could be a spark plug, injector, or several other things.

Have the fault codes read .It sounds like detonation for the start and the click may be failing hydraulic tappets . depending on the regularity of the click. Is it in time with the revs or random Detonation is caused by the mixture firing before ignition and will do damage to piston tops.

try the 100 amp fusable link located in the power distrubition center under the hood , i had a similar problem and that fixed it good luck

1st try buying a Fuel Pressure regulator ,47.00 @ rock auto . comif u did and still no dice, then try loosen the distributer a little to where you can control the RETARDATION or Acceleration by slowly Movingclock wise or counter clock wise :PLAY with it , i Emphisize SLOWLY .. that should . do it . if neither good luck .

You will more than likely need to replace the whole heater control unit in the dash. Thier like mini computers now and usually if one side goes down it means the whole unit is shot.

you have multiple cylinder missfire 1,2,3,5 check your spark plugs, plug wires and coils could even be a o2 sensor
