2001 Lexus ES300 - can't start, but both alternator and battery had no problems according to dealer's mechanic
Do you go long periods of time without cranking or driving your car. If you go a week or more without running the car it can run a battery down, maybe two weeks for some cars. My daughter 08 impala will run down after 7 or 8 days so I pull the negative cable off the battery. Some cars will have radio problems if battery is disconnected that may be why they want it on a charger. The fact you drove to dealership before it died would seem to me to be a alternator problem. Did the dealership actually test for voltage at battery and alternator voltage to battery. Most cars I have had the battery will run about 12.7 or above voltage when off. While running it usually runs over 14 to 15.5 at battery, depending on vehicle if the alternator is charging.
Why wont my key open my trunk on my lexus es300 1998 when the battery is dead
I love how there are no answers on here I was trying to find out why my key won't open the trunk in general and I'm not sure but I believe the other key may actually open the trunk but it's my girlfriend's car and I don't ever think about using her key to check but I'm going to now as there are no answers here hope you figured it out 4 years ago now LOL
93 lexus es300 overheating
check and see if your model have the hydrolic (not electric) coolant fan.If so pay attention to see if the fan is running very slow and never changes speed. If this is the case, check to make sure that the plug to the sensor that is located on back of the powersteering pump has not come loose. They are know to work there way off.If it is not unplugged than the sensor on back of the powersteering pump needs to be replaced. This will allow the proper flow of fluid and pressure to properly operate your fan. This may sound strange, but i buy es300's with this problem often because people are afraid of them and think there is a major problem. This will take only 5 minutes or less of your time.
