DSC stands for Diagnostic Service Code. Does vehicle have problems requiring service?

I would not re-stretch the material, as it is likely dry rotted by now. If you carefully take the panel apart, and often these days they are glued together, you might replace that panel. Look online for matching cloth. I think this kind of job can be fun if you take your time, are observant, and careful. You might be so good you'll want to replace all your panels to give it that updated look. Otherwise, take the panel out and get an estimate from a local upholstery shop to avoid any hassles. If the panel is in the car, it will be much more expensive.

this is a common prob what was the fault code logged ?there are 4 sensors on these cars 2 on each bank upstream and downsteam the issue is the ecm tries to compensate for one bank that is out of limits using the fuel control of the other bank to try and keep overall emissions within limits.this makes diagnosis difficult without proper diagnostic equip.at the last count genuine jag. sensors are EXPENSIVE and cheap pattern ones are not that good.advise. find someone with jag diagnostic equip. identify the problem

If there is low or no compression the starter motor will spinthe engine over really fast. Will sound different than normal.And there will be little or no pressure of exhaust at the tail pipe.

Is car using water, do you need top up? If not its aircon and this is normal.

I would think that your vehicle has a voltage regulator built into the alternator, but I am not sure. I do not have alot of Jag experience. But this sounds like what your problem is. The voltage regulator is stuck and making the alternator put out full charge and wreaking havoc with your electrical system.

Blockage will cause this, Thermostat, Bad Water Pump, Blown Head Gasket....HEAD GASKET is the Biggie.. Why did you change the Water Pump?Pressure from the Engine (Blow by) will do exactly this...

i would advise new bolts the torque settinngs are. main bolts ,1st. 10nm 2nd 20nm 3rd 35nm 4th 90 degrees 5th a further 90 degrees, the 4 small bolts at front off heads 23-27 nm

If you don't see any external leaks, the engine is burning coolant out the exhaust pipes.

Should be in the trunk under the floor cover near the back seat.

if you have the radio code just turn the radio on enter the 4 numbers and the radio should just come on. Hope this helps.

Very old question but the answer is, they are self adjusting by a servo motor that determines ride attitude.

If it was a fuse then you would have to diagnose why the fuse went.
