replace the switch

this could be down to a number of things, one is that the little sender unit on expansion tank has had it, or the vehicle has stood for a while at a low level, inside the coolant tank there is a small pole with a circular tube that slides up and down according to coolant, work that wall in up and down motion for a while and quickly flush tank out with clean water,(vigorously) fill run engine till hot, keep toping up and that's it replace cap. if this does not solve problem by replacing the sender unit on base of coolant tank, be careful with this It must be inserted into the hole square as it has not a lot of play space and they tend to crack very very easily. good luck and hope this helps.

most fuses on my 1998 xj8 are in the foot well in the rear of the passengers and driver side. I think they call it heal board? there are a panel at each ide, if you sit in the rear of the car the acces panel is by your heals. there is also one in the boot in battery side compartment. I hope this is of some help..

You will have to remove the trim around the radio, could be easy, and then again it might not. Will be able to unbolt the radio after you remove the trim. Should not require any more than a couple screwdivers and a good range of metric sockets

If you suspect you have a blown fuse, then you can find it in less than thirty seconds using my method. Instead of wasting time searching for the exact location, why not just remove each fuse 1 by 1, and keep putting them back (if good) as you go so you don't mix them up. If you have any blown fuses, you will find it! If you don't know the difference between a good vs blown fuse, ill post a picture to help you identify.

sounds like your brakes are still on. is this auto or manual transmission?

is the engine cranking? if so poss flooded! you may have the old nicosyl coated liner engine? check your engine no./or vin.no. at your local jaguar dealer, common problem, or you need to check for fuel delivery, ie. pump/relay.e.t.c.if its ok check ign.+ve at ign coils

flooded, common problem with the old nicosyl coated liner engines, bores worn out, no compression, check engine no,to see if your car is in the range.

remove rear mudflaps if fitted, remove screws from rear of wheel arch liners. two 19mm headed bolts from underside of bumper, be warned they sieze and a lot of force will destroy the bumper mounts and the bumper beam not cheap to repair.
