The horns themselves, as well as the electrical relays, can often be replaced with a standard ones from one of the auto parts stores. If parts are not available for the horn switch, An different switch, again from the parts store, can be installed or one obtained for a salvage yard.

It needs to be grounded to some metal part on the car. If the mount is rusted or broken you can drill a hole on the horn its self and attach a wire to it using a metal screw then attach the other end to something metal on the car.

Can you get the trunk open? If so, you will have to pull to remove the trim inside your trunk behind the lock and see what's going on. The plastic clip that holds the trunk release rod in mine came loose and I just reattached it and haven't had anymore issues. If you cannot get in the trunk, you will have to remove the license plate and drill a hole. If you go to jaglovers.com and go to the X300 forum there is a blog with instructions.

Crack open the connection from the fuel pump to the injector rail and switch on ignition (use a cloth under the connection to catch any petrol) if nothing then remove spare wheel and pull back carpet from bulkhead (tank is behind back seat) and press a piece of pipe or tube against the tank and listen (ignition on) for the pump. If the pump is knackered then you've got a big job ahead, the pump is inside the tank and can only be accessed from the top and to get the tank out is a pain, especially as the connectionsunderneath above the axle. ****Before you do this: Make sure you have your radio security code handy in case you need to reprogram it! With all doors closed (and with headlamps & ignition fully off), disconnect the main battery ground lead at the battery for about 1 minute, and then reconnect. That should do it, assuming your system was working ok before entering valet mode.

the front seats are bolted to the floor so slide the seat forward as far as will go and undo rear bolts ,slide seat back and undo the front bolts

Hi Ajinas, The codes you refer to can be cancelled with a diagnostic scan tool. As this is not a common piece of equipment I suggest taking the vehicle to a workshop and having the scan carried out there. Your technician will also be able to find out if any other work is required. Regards John

A defective HVAC blower motor controller, or relay/micro switch in the control panel may cause the heater/AC blower motor not to work.

On a vehicle red is (hot) or positive. Black is (ground) or neutral

Check the power at the relay at right front fuse box if no power check back wire as it runs to the relays beside the radiator.
