these cars suffer from one problem and that is the computer ,as the O2 sensor heaters run the earth back through a transistor switch in the ECU ,so what i do is run a seperate earth from O2 sensor heater side to chassis or engine this cures the fault so vehicles passes the emmisions but the engine light will stay on .on the O2 sensor are two white wires these are the heater wires ,one will read a positive but no earth continuety ,run a earth and it will work .

You don't. The engine management computer needs to receive a coded signal from the immobiliser in order to switch on.

The chime usually goes with the door latch. What did you replace? You may have not got the electrical plug seated or a lead has pushed out.

Sounds to me like you've got a cooling fan problem. Possibly even a sensor or a loose/broken wire. Try turning on the A/C and if it cools down that may be your problem.

check the sensor pick up ,not sure if it picks up from the abs sensor or if its on the gearbox on this model.then theirs the 4WD models .i cannot remember every car i repair because unlike the old days in the uk when their was only 4/5 makes of cars .

Check the ajar switch is working ok. This is by the latch on the boot lid to the left under a rubber cone cover. Whilst the boot lid is open push the switch fully in and see if the light is still on then you have a switch fault

If you are sure the alternator is ok then the battery is dead......replace the battery!

problem sound like a vacuum leak check all hoses including vent control, transmission actuator and brake booster, loose manifold if it is happening more when you have your foot on the brake pedal, the problem can be a problem brake booster

Yeah They unplugged it. Inside the dash. Used car dealerships do this. They don't want you to know the true mileage. That's my first guess. The other is a chip died inside of it. I worked there. I refused to do it and show someone how to do it. I tell all my employers.. Don't send the customer to me, I will not lie for you.

You can use one of the plugs that go into the power point/cigarette lighter. Cut the end off add wire to reach a good 12 volt battery. Plug it in. This should give you power to open the boot with the switch.

you will need to go at a jag dealer with your car and they will pull out the radio security code... and to be sure that it dont appen again think about investing on a memory saver next time OBD CAR COMPUTER MEMORY SAVER REPLACE BATTERY SAFE WITHOUT LOSING ECU... its about 10bucks and it gonna save you a lot of problems

well cobber swear at it in urdo or similar ,then order a new steering lock from uk where its cheaper like david manners.you will need to cut the old one off which is great fun,has some joker tried to nick the wheels ? give it a drop of engine oil down the hole and let it soak in and see what happens but it could have a tumbler inside the lock worn giving it the eabygibies

Bad sensor

u can install a disconnect but when u disconnect the power it clears all settings in vehicle such as radio will have to enter code so anti-theft lock out doesnt occur or have to reset from loc to normal -memory seats -emissions reset which means that problems for inspection if vehicle doesnt cycle thru before one is done -have battery and alternator tested most auto stores do this for free -- if problem only happens during rain check connections around battery/alternator/and fuses for loose or connections that are getting wet
