Best thing go to www.reliable-store.com they have got books on every vehicle and also how to service/repair it,
service/repair/owner's/maintenance manual with
parts info, fuse box, gear box, PCV, torque specs, coiling, wiring diagrams, electrical diagrams, fuse diagrams, error codes, etc everything
if it's a 2001 my info doesn't show the 2001 Elantra GTS as coming with an alarm. GT does have keyless/alarm. Are you sure its not just a keyless entry system? Test it by doing the following: Close all doors and sit in car, 'arm' the alarm with the remote, wait about a minute and open the door from the inside...if the horn starts beeping you have an alarm. If nothing happens, you only have keyless entry.
Anyway disarming a ETACS alarm system is not a option.
flywheels or flex plates ( manual or automatic)
flywheels will generally shatter the bell housing so It may be flex plates
They crack the center out from incorrect fitment of the washes at the crank shaft that makes them flex against the torque converter
generally it is the omission or the incorrect fitment of the large dish shaped washes or the flex plate not being turn around until all of the bolts screw all the way in finger tight
the units are make in thousands and last hundreds of thousands of miles so to have such a problem is lack of attention to detail on fitment or lack of trade skill in the fitting
Look at your air intake on the motor: as the pedal is pushed you'll see the apparatus and a screw that controls how far back the pedal goes when it's not being pushed. The easiest way is to see the idle adjusted and more fixes for the idle problems are available on YouTube and through a Google search.
doubt it's the switch ,but you never know until testing is done . Do you know what that is ? Automotive systems electrical testing , view a wiring diagram too see what all is involved in said circuit ,an using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test B+ voltage an ground ? Looking at the wiring diagram for the blower motor circuit for your vehicle i see a blower motor relay , a blower motor resistor pack an the blower motor switch . The switch is just a path to ground . If it doesn't work on high speed i would suspect the blower motor relay . View the wiring diagram here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle information , year , make , model and engine size. Under system click on HVAC ,then under subsystem HVAC controls will come up on it's own . Click the search button then the blue link . Buy a cheap volt meter an test the circuit . That is after watching these videos . Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know The Trainer 32 How To Read An Automotive Block Wiring Diagram
Learn how to test an save money , it's easy ! Is there B+ voltage at the relay .Also check out how a relay work's an how to test .
Hyundais have the tendancy to blow the ignition switch, yours was probabbly replaced, and by doing so you will need the Original key the car came with, not the new one included in the kit for the ignition switch.. also have you checked the little battery for the keyfob??? it probabbly went dry.
Do you own a DMM - digital multi-meter ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is an how to read one ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on lighting, then under subsystem click on courtesy lamps. Click the search button then the blue link . First diagram , look at the right , you will see trunk room lamp .At the top you'll see the fuse the supply's power to the lamp . Check for B+ voltage going in an out , check the switch .
