The auto was notorious for clutch pack failure. Tolerances were tight in the inner workings and this caused inadequate oil flow and poor cooling. Sooner or later the auto transmissions fail. You could have the transmission rebuilt but that will cost a bit to do it so it wont break again. I might recomend going back to honda atf and changing the fluid again. If that does not work try an additive oil for the transmission. I had some sucess with the recomend product. last resort, have it swapped to a manual transmission. This is a cheap alternative as f series transmissions from the accord can bolt up to the h22 and can be found cheap at the expense of higher gear ratios.

Try pressing the reset button a few times. That works on some cars. Hope this helps.

Might be your fuel pump itself.

Your shifter cables are most likely worn out or stretched out. Adjusting the cables moves the shifter arm a little bit. The turnbuckles for adjusting are inside the center console under the shifter arm. To get to them, you have to take out the center console. One cable controls side to side movement and the other controls front to back, don't adjust the wrong one on accident.

There should be no water going to the transmission.

IN a car this old, the drain lines in the head for the oil might be plugged up. Check them and replace the valve cover gasket

Check that the battery connections are tight.

Check the drive belt to the power steering pump and the level of fluid in the power steering reservoir.

Not a good idea

If it is an automatic, there is a dipstick to check the level. If it is a manual you have to take out the fill plug to see if the oil is up to the correct level.

if there are no visable nuts etc i'd say it needs a gentle tap with a rawhide hammer , cover with come cloth and tap away gently , may have got stuck in position due to heat etc

I believe your clutch is hydraulic on your Prelude, at least my 91 Prelude is, which means you have a master cylinder and a slave cylinder. Are you sure it's cable operated?

(the pads act like Guitar strings)Use pad glue to halt it, or ignore it like me....the pads have wear markers, they have this device that makes noise when pads get too thin, (look at em)bad wheel bearings.brake backing plate bent.caliper guide pins rusted.and lots of other things bad or just ok , old and making noise, like suspension "A" arm bushing rusty, or stable bar , same.moving noise is real hard to find.
