the computer controls it bot it could be the crankcase position censer ect. have someone hook a computer to read codes on it

if it wont undo from the buckle you will have to unbolt the belt at its anchor points and take to a garage to see if the buckle can be repaired or just put a new one in

best bet is to get a Chiltons manual to save time and money.

Blue smoke is usually an indication of oil burning. If you see blue smoke and hear a loud sound it could be a few things. The biggest being you have a hole in your block. You could also have a leak in your exhaust and be burning oil. A quick trip to a local autoparts store should answer this question. Most employees are willing to lend an ear and have experience with cars. I recomend you dont take the car on anything other than short trips untill your problem is found and solved.

Blue some is burning oil. Check your PCV valve 1st, but if this is bad, your idle would be high. If it smokes when 1st starting only, the valve guides and/or seals are bad. If it smokes while driving, the rings are worn out.

d4 light indicates electronic transmission failure but this can b as simple as low transmission or old fluid . change fluid if its dark or watery, before you panic.(( use only honda brand atf,)) if that doesnt work the codes need to b considered this can b done by jumping the two pin connector under or behind the glovebox with a paper clip the d4 light will flash once you turn the ignition on to first position' when dash lights first come on . it will flash then stop then flash again you need to count the first and second separately this will give you 2 diget code look it up exp; honda d4 dtc 34 just say google it , but if i were to guess if not the trans fluid the codes will b for sift selinoids easy fix but no fun to change. good luck. you will need a scanner for the check engine light uncommon for both to show up at the same time two diffrent systems ,disconnect the battery for 30second this will reset the ecm, it maybe a false code and it may not return.

Interesting question. If you think a lifter arm, which I presume is also called a rocker arm, is broken, remove the valve cover and find it. All the rocker arms are visible, and should be easy to see.

Heater motor is under dash passenger side.

Probably a blown fuse or a miswire. Pull the radio and revert to stock. If the fan works carefully re-wire the radio with a good diagram. if the fan is still dead with stock radio setup you may have a short, bad relay or bad temperature switch. if you understand electrical get a tester and start snooping. see if any of the manuals contain good wiring diagrams. if not its best to leave it to the pros. You dont want your car to go up in flames. If you are super concerned about a fire, disconnect your battery when the car isnt in use. there are adjuster screws above and to the side of the headlight unit . turn thes euntil the lights are aligned , to do this succesfully you will need a flat level surface to park on and a blank wall with the height marked for the headlight to be aimed at , this is not as easy as it sounds , i would suggest taking it to a repair shop as only takes a few minutes with the right equipment so will cost very little , if you want to do your self you will need a workshop manual to give you the required height and distance etc good luck

Transmission could be running hot. Most times tranny fluid also runs through the sides of the radiator. Or a transmission cooler somewhere near the radiator and in some cases will make temp gauge rise

If you're having a idling problem. .it's usually a dirty throttle body or a sensor dirty or bad ..check for code's if none clean throttle body

The dipstick should be located to the right of the valve cover and colored yellow. Yours could be missing if you are not immediately spotting it. Try looking for a metal tube no bigger around than a dime that will be heading down to the bottom of the engine.

Air/idle control sensor

First off your 91 Prelude is not OBD2 so those functions won't do you any good anyway. Second, you said programmer?? Is this a modded PCM/car? If so I got nothing for you. I don't deal with modded cars here, there's too many variables. Without looking at it in person, there's just no way to see what you've got going.

First things first. Check the fluid level and condition. (Honda's are always checked engine off, sitting level.) If the fluid is burnt/stinky and dark, you may have internal a/t issues. Next step would be pull the codes. You're gonna have a P0700 code under the engine list. That is the generic trans system failure code. Your scan tool will need to be able to read all powertrain systems, not just engine data. If it has a specific code for, say one of the shift solenoids, or the linear solenoid, you may be able to replace parts/fluid and be ok. If it has a P0730, or P0740 code, then you're looking at internal clutch pack failure, and a reman. or good used trans. Good luck.

The battery sounds like it's dead, it may have enough power to make noise for a few but it not charging. May also be the alternator going bad and causing the battery not to fun

Check the drive belt to the power steering pump and the level of fluid in the power steering reservoir.
