Car won't start after refitting fuel tank & refitting new fuel lines. Can you advice me what to try next please.

Check your fuses as well to make sure you don'r have a blown one keeping the pump from working. If you find no problem there; drop the tank and re-check all my electrical and hose connections. I'm assuming the pump was a known "good" one.

Si 2.2l A/T. What is transmission fluid capacity?

Full drain including the Torque converter or just the fluid in the pan?? Makes a huge difference. Also all fluid levels are checked with the transmission fluid hot. The pan holds about 2.5 US quarts, add two and check the dipstick I=engine running in park, add until it is just at the bottom of the safe zone and drive the car get the fluid hot to the touch and recheck and top off as needed.

Tbc dash light meaning for honda

Hello, I don't know of a TBC light for Honda but there is a TDC... If that's what you meant to type. Its the "Top Dead Center" sensor The TDC (top dead center) positioning sensor is another name for your crankshaft position sensor. This sensor measures the position of your crankshaft and helps with the proper firing of your spark plugs when you start your engine. The TDC sensor on the '97 Honda Accord is located on the underside of the engine block. Replacement TDC sensors can be purchased at your Honda dealership. This is not a difficult repair and can be done in about 15 minutes. Read more : http://www.ehow.com/how_7918547_replace-sensor-1997-honda-accord.html I hope that helps.... Have a great weekend

My 96 prelude keeps shutting off when hot. What do I do to fix it?

96's are kinda the bad year for our cars being the only obd2 4th gen preludes so for any codes over 43 you have to look it up in the '97-'01 manual. Code 65 is "Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Sensor 2)". Probable causes are an open in the secondary O2 sensor heater circuit or bad ECU. Have you tried resetting the ECU to see if it comes back? If so, you could check for loose wires coming from the secondary O2 sensor in the cat converter going to the 4 pin connector, or if you have access to another ECU I would try to substitute a known good ECU to see if that clears it up. The troubleshooting flowchart is on page 11-79 in the '97-'01 helms manual, and involves checking resistances and for continuity. I think this could be the code I had on my '96 when I bought it. I tried replacing the secondary O2 sensor, and long story short it was the ECU. Luckily my '96 was still under the extended emmissions warranty, so Honda replaced it for free. I don't think you would be covered under the extended warranty because it was 14 years and under 150k miles. I just barely made it (within a month or 2 and 3k miles) last year. As far as the engine sounds and rough idle, you could just need a valve adjustment. The secondary O2 sensor just checks the cat to make sure it's working right. And all auto trans want to move forward when the brake is released.

My inside dashboard lights and back break light suddenly stopped working so cant drive it at night. Its a 99 honda prelude. I've tried changing the light bulbs and the fuse but still not working.

If the dash lights are on the same circuit as the park lights. Chances are if no dash lights... no park lights. Unless the dash light dimmer switch is on the low position. Check park light fuse. If no brake lights... which are on a different circuit and you are sure the bulbs are ok check brake light fuse. If fuse ok, unplug brake light switch at brake pedal and cross the terminals with a jumper. If brake lights work, the brake switch is faulty. If still no brake light operation suspect a wiring issue

I have a 99 honda prelude. Two of the middle front ac is not working but the sides of the passenger and the driver side is working. Do you know what might be wrong with it. Thanks.

All the vents in the front dash have adjusting fins in them. to turn in a certain direction and to open or close them. Look at them. If you can't open them with the small knob at the vent. Use a small screw driver or key to open them up.
