My Honda Fit had a strong gas smell. For 2 years I lived with it. I took it to 3 different mechanics and none could find anything. They couldn't smell it. I did find a Honda thread that discussed this same issue, and people found out that some of that year and model Fit had left the factory with spark plugs that weren't properly tightened, so gas leaks by. Eventually, the spark plug(s) work their way out of your engine, like it did with me going 70 mph on 93 in NH. Traumatic experience. Spark plug and melted coil replaced and no more gas smell. Honda must know about this. People have been complaining. There should be a recall.

honda fit. 09 the operators guide show the fuse boxes and usually relay names inside. look there yet? that is always first ofter checking for bad fuses no symptoms posted, so cant guess, job or reason or whats up./ alldata.com i looked but all 20 pages of fuel system have no name. just page 1 to 20 too lazy to read them all.

Agree that both shouldn't fail together. I suggest change one anyway, never hurts to carry a spare.

Buy some Seafoam from autozone $10 pour half can into half tank drive a little hard on it for a good 10 t0 15 miles. this should do the trick. let me know if it helped!

Use an oil filter wrench to unscrew it.

i would expect the ATF to be lower when engine running as it is being pumped around the gearbox, as for the delay i would advise to get the OBD codes read , as this could give you a code number that will tell you what the problem is.The fluid colour sounds fine , it's when the ATF gets a dark brown colour i would advise changing. If you check the ATF again smell the fluid on the dip stick , if smells like a burnt type of smell then the ATF cooling component may not be working as well as should be,if so will require further investigation , hope this helps and gives you somewhere to start your investigations into this problem

this is normal if you turn the key slowly.If not the start relay has to be replaced.

If it's a clicking noise, probably CV joint. Check for a torn rubber boot on the joint and look for blobs of grease inside your wheel (a good indicator the boot is torn).

Your o2 sensor are read a rich fuel mixture. Scan the obdll to see what codes you have

Pull down the lever on the left side of the steering wheel which will in turn lower the steering wheel, then open the cover on the top of the steering wheel, lift open slightly not all the way, then you will see a white lever, press down the break then gently push down the white lever to put the gear in neutral, make sure you put the gear in neutral, remember you have moved the cover from the original position. when you use the "preset keys" (the keys on the radio with numbers on them) to enter the code, each time you press a code number, a letter appears [c, o, d, e]. once the word is spelled out, from entering the correct 5 digits, the radio is reset, ready to go.

BUT if you miss a number, enter a wrong number, whatever, each number pressed, still makes a letter appear from the word "code". once the word is spelled out, by entering ANY 5 numbers, if ANY of the 5 is wrong, the radio displays a message "Error" and then a number 1 thru 10.

When you see the word "Error..."

the next preset button you push, starts the whole thing over again. The radio says "Enter code". That is when you enter the 1st of the 5 digits, the letter C appears, enter the next digit, the letter O appears, enter the next digit, the letter D appears, enter the last digit, the letter E apperas, the radio is reset, ready to go, if you got the 5 correct numbers entered.

you have 10 chances to enter the right 5 digit code. Each wrong try of 5 digits yeilds a display of "Error 1", "Error 2", "Error 3", etc 'till you get to 10 incorrect tries of 5 digits each.

If you dont get it right in 10 tries, you have to leave the radio "on" for an hour, then it will let you start the 10 tries over again.
