What the P0011 code means. P0011 is the OBD-II generic code indicating the engine control module (ECM) has determined that the bank 1 intake camshaft is more advanced than what the ECM has commanded it be. This over-advanced condition could be during advancing or retarding of the camshaft timing. The timing belt or chain may have jumped and the noise could come from valves hitting the piston head.

1997 Honda accord nothing on instrument cluster works,only the battery light. Power windows will not work. shift lock solenoid doesn't work.Digital clock does not work. Lights on the console shifter don't light up. Help!

I have the same problem with mine. The antenna should go down when you turn the key to the off position. When it stays up or only goes down a little, you can actually push it down with your hand. It will not hurt it. Just make sure you push it straight down as not to bend or fold it over. It is just wearing out and needs to be replaced.

their is no common spot need to look at all lines and components look at master then look and check all lines also check back of rims and floor for fluid stain or puddle then remove wheels and check components

fix and repair the damaged wiring and test sensors for shorts

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.

Maybe a little late here but i have a fix for this after turning down my dealers generous offer of a 750gbp fix i did some extensive googling and found this.... With your ignition on open the tailgate using the catch inside then turn off ignition and disconnect the battery for a minute. Reconect the battery and turn on ignition and let the warning lights go through their cycle. With the ignition still on shut the tailgate and hey Presto should be as good as new.

is it an ex?
is it a bad leak?
it could be 2 things
1) oil pressure sending unit above the filter
2) "o" ring between the oil cooler and block on ex models only. the oil cooler is between the filter and block with 2 coolant hoses attached to it. also might be the oil filter. i replace alot of sending units and oil cooler o rings.

Error code 12-01: Voltage for VBU (Voltage Back Up). - Check fuse fuse number 1 (70 Amp), in the under hood fuse/ relay box. - Check Wiring. - EPS Control Unit.

There is none, it uses an expansion valve, and it is in the evaporator.

more likely gas is leaking from the gas tank not oil. maybe you blew a rear shock instead?

perhaps the carb needs cleaned

Put the key in the ignition, move the intermittent wiper control to the middle possition and then turn the key on.

just to clarify it's the ring that controlls the intermittent wiper speed and not the int / low/ high switch.


What this does is it resets the multiplex unit that controlls the accessories such as the power door locks. This problem usually happens once the battery has been removed or disconnected and reconnected. Every once in a while the multiplex systems lock up. Especially on the 98s. That's how you wake em up.

if you dont have your radio code then we need to get your serial number, there 3 ways to get it.
* First try looking in your glove box for a sticker which will be a 7 or 8 digit number (your serial number) if its not there, then try this - With the radio off hold in buttons ' 1 ' and ' 6 ', while holding those in turn on the power button, that should give you your serial number,
* If that still dosnt work then you will have to pull the radio out of the dash and get the serial number off of the back of the radio.
* Once you have your serial number contact your local honda dealer and tell them your situation and they will be able to give you the code to unlock your radio.

Also, you will have to contact your Honda Dealer. The original selling dealer may have the code on file. If not you will have to remove the radio and get the serial number of the chassis. With this serial number, any Honda dealer can provide the correct code. There is no other way to unlock the radio than with that code.
